possibly your best choice for a decent turntable

    By VinceG

    from Michigan

As an avid music listener, I've always been a collector of hidden gems and treasures in this lost music world we call Records. Now that I got myself a decent amount of records, and a few hard to find once for collection, I decided to actually listen to them. I'm not an audiophile junkie, just to clear that up. Neither are you for looking at this piece of equipment. But thats not to say that this thing doesn't sound good. The product has decent amount of weight, and it also sounds professional. I think you will get a better sound out of it if you plug it in into a pre-amp (I used my home speakers into a RCA cables that comes with the product). Yes, the sound I get from it sounds a bit muddy, but I could care less. If you want an ultra high end stuff, your not gonna get it here. But for what it is, its nice. I love it. A lot of DJ's use this product because of its ease of use when it comes to recording mp3. Yes, that is the best part about this. Plug in one of your flash drives into the turntable itself, and hit record, and your done. Your recording the music into the flash drive. 192kbps is not good enough for you? download the 256kbps patch on American Audio website for free. It comes with everything you need such as necessary cables, needle, cartridge, counterweight and all that stuff. Its good for what it is. I spent a couple of hours in my room last night just listening to records, and enjoying music even more!Final words is that, if your an average Joe like me who doesn't want to throw a lot of money for a record player like those audiophile junkies, then get this product because its possibly the best one out there.

So easy a caveman could use it!

    By DaveK

I have been using the American Audio TT-Record MP3 USB Turntable for about 2 weeks now, and am very pleased with it so far. It is very easy to rip vinyl to a USB stick, and then transfer to a computer. Works every time without a hitch. Makes a great "everyday" turntable too, and having both line & phono outputs is a real plus (no preamp needed if you don't have a phono input). I like the fact that I do not have to move it to connect it to my computer - I just keep it connected to my stereo. Only minus is that I wish it had a dust cover.
