Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

Very disappointed. All of the hardware to mount the I-beams to the stands was missing. Called customer service and they said 2-3 weeks to have missing parts sent. Think I'll return and order a different model...

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

I first bought the ADJ crank up truss system last summer for my photo studio. I couldn't be happier with it. It's really strong and stable and breaks down fairly quickly once the lights are removed (recommend getting plenty of accessory quick release clamps of your lights to save time on disassembly!). The truss tubular metal cross members are a bit shy in diameter for quick release clamps of any brand straight off the shelf except the old school ones that screw into the metal and cause scaring & denting over time, but I was able to remedy the situation by going to the local hardware store and buying a section of 1-7/8" clear flexible VINYL (not PVC) tubing from the plumbing section, cutting them into 2" lengths and straight slitting each length end to end. Remove the gaskets on the clamps and snap the vinyl gaskets on the truss. They lock tight at any angle for all the cans and lasers I use. I haven't tried the vinyl gasket trick with something as heavy as a Haze 2 Digital yet, but I think the bar itself will hold it just fine even placed midway.

      Good purchase ...

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

Arrived in a shredded box. Loose nuts & blots from torn bag everywhere! But none were lost.Instruction sheet is a joke. Test each " T " to see which two fit the truss diameter before assembly or you will get to do it twice.Assembled easily enough, and the crank feature is really nice for hanging effects & making adjustments. Using the 360 clamps ( purchased separately ) makes hanging adjusting effects even easier. Is a little more sensitive to positioning when letting the truss down. First chance I get I'll put some CLP on the moving surfaces. At 10' wide it is just right for framing the drum kit and allows lights to be positioned where ever you need them from behind the band. Not wide enough for a stage front IMO.

      Leave the Ladder at Home

      By Sobo

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

No ladder required. That is a nice benefit by itself. Easy set up and easy tear down. Hanging units, running power, hooking up DMX cables, and dressing cables is no longer a time consuming task with this unit. NICE!

      Perfect

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

Right now were looking for a good drummer, so I have it set up in my practice room. I have a Banner hanging underneith the Truss (w/ the name of our band), and 8 Par cans along the top. When you light it up its BAD AZZ!!! everone loves it and wants me to sell it to them, but I wont. Its sturdy and Heavey Duty and thats what I like. Also,I have a bad back and its still easy enough for me to set it up by myself. when I bought it, it was missing a few bolds but I think it was UPS's falt because the box corners were all chewed up. Thats alright I went down the hardwear store and bought new ones. The Truss system comes w/very dark hard metal bolts that you cant find in the hardware store. I also bought a case bag for it but the Stands are to long so it wouldn't fit. According to MusciansFriend there are no cases that will fit. Its all good, I still Love this Truss system. Rock'n'Roll!!!!!

      Kj and Dj

      By Steve-tZrr4

      from Lagrange, GA

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

I bought this gear because I have a pretty big light show with 16 par cans effects lighting and two lasers plus fog machine. I had the manual lift up and man handle kind. That wasn't getting it done. This so far has been the best lighting stand that I have had. Everything is heavy duty and seems to hold all of my lighting. Very good gear. I would recommend it for anyone for the price and quality.

      ROCKIN LIGHT TRUSS

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

This is a very strong stable piece of gear. Bought one a year and a half ago. 78 gigs later one stand is finally wearing out! We have worked the thing to death and run loads of heavy lights mirrorball ect. Dont be fooled by price... It is a great value. Yes you can pay $600.00 plus for better gear, but this works great. Buy it!

      Great purchase!

      By Window Joe-N0iyY

      from Evansville, IN

Comments about American DJ Crank II Mobile Trussing System for Stage Lights:

I bought this to hold all my lights (I have 13 fixtures!) I have another par light/stand setup that has to be lifted up (thats hard enough)! No way was I going to get on a ladder to put all my fixtures/wires on that truss! I just mount all my fixtures, run all my DMX/power cables, then just crank it up. If you don't buy the crank up kind you are asking to get hurt. It works flawlessly and even has a number guide on each side to tell you how level you are. The construction is built tough and it's easy to set up/tear down. The base is large and stable on the pods too. Great item.
