Features:

Only 4 channels of dmx but the effects are so cool it really dosent matter. Can also be sound activated

Quality:

Seems to be built well - Like most other lights in this range

Value:

Price is low but the effect is freat

Overall:

This light really has a great effect. Colors, Speed and strobe can be changed. Only thing is that for full effect this light needs a hazer or fogger. If you can put the two together you really get an effect that looks like you spent ALOT more money. Blows the VUE III out of the water. Great Light!!!

Quad Phase

Features:

Great light, especially for the price. One of the best DJ lights on the market today. Plus the LEDs guarantee that this light will be with you in the long run. The ability to use DMX, Sound Active, and Master Slave gives you so many features. When using DMX, this light is the best.

Quality:

Immediately after opening the box, I noticed that it is built really sturdy, it is road ready and the housing is strong enough to handle some abuse. I can't say anything about if it were dropped, but my guess is that it would probably stand a fall or two. My one pet peeve is the washers that ADJ uses, they are this fabric washer that will fray a little over time, but besides that, which probably will not bother anyone else, it shows amazing build and quality.

Value:

The value of this light from any retailer would still be 10 out of 10, but at this price, it should be more like 20 out of 10.

Overall:

The super bright LEDs are awesome and create great sharp beams in the dark, you need fog for the beams though. The added white LED (as opposed to the earlier Tri-Phase) makes a huge difference in brightness and color choices. This light has so many features (Sound, DMX, Master Slave) that you cannot go wrong with this product. The beams in the fog are amazing and it adds an entire new atmosphere to whatever you are doing. I have two of these and they are simply one of the best DJ lights ever, and THE best DJ light in the price range.

Overall:

This light was my first real light for DJing, and about a year later I'm doing quite a lot of private parties and it's still my main piece of lighting and it more than gets the job done.      Eventually I'll probably add another moonflower or a centerpiece of sorts, but for now this is really more than enough for an amatuer DJ like me.

I have only used the sound active mode so far, but as has been said before, American DJ goes far above and beyond the call of duty with their built-in programs.      It's absolutely brilliant, particularly when the light decides to strobe.      It's just amazing, and having owned it for almost a year every time I use it, it still blows my mind with what it can do.

When I got it I had to take it apart because a little extra solder had fallen off, but there have been no problems whatsoever and it seems like a very, very well-built light.      The only two issues besides the excess solder are that it makes noise and the motor seemed a little sticky once.

As far as the noise goes, it's a little unpleasant but not unbearable, and you won't by any stretch of the imagination notice it when you're playing music.

The motor issue only happened once after having it stored away for over a month, and I haven't been able to replicate it since.      It was just that the beams when moving slowly were a little jittery and not as fluid as you might like.      However, like I said, the next time I used it I didn't find an issue.

The Chauvet Swarm 4 is a similar light for less on Musician's Friend, but I'd still go with this one because of the features, the brightness (the white LED really does add a lot). and the pattern.      Either way, the price is great for me, but I don't think I would have 2 - one certainly gets the job done!
