A solid, compact, portable computer, loaded with all you need for work and play.
The 2.53GHz MacBook Pro 13.3" is carved from a single block of aluminum—a true engineering achievement. The MacBook Pro's unibody enclosure is the product of precise machining. From the thumbscoop to the now-you-see-it-now-you-don't sleep indicator light, no detail of the MacBook Pro is unaccounted for. The end result is a notebook computer that's not only a breakthrough, but also thin, light, polished, and refined. The unibody also makes MacBook Pro more durable than ever. So you can throw your MacBook in your briefcase or messenger bag and pull it out at an airport, at school, at the office, or on location without a second thought.
The longest-lasting Mac notebook battery ever
Built right into each of this generation of MacBook Pro notebook computers is a breakthrough battery that lasts dramatically longer and does so without increasing the size or weight of your MacBook Pro. On a single charge, the battery lasts up to 7 hours and can be recharged up to 1000 times. That's compared with only 200 to 300 times for typical notebooks. Advanced chemistry and Adaptive Charging allows the battery to maintain charging capabilities longer and determines the optimal way to charge the battery's cells. Because the battery lasts up to five years, MacBook Pro uses just one battery in the same time a typical notebook uses three. That makes for less waste. And that, in turn, makes for one environmentally friendly battery.
Graphics in full force
The MacBook Pro reaches a new level of high-speed, high-end game-playing power. Not to mention pure performance for graphics-intensive applications like Aperture and Motion. The power-saving NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor inside every MacBook Pro is great for everyday performance, while delivering long battery life.
A display of brilliance
The moment you open your new MacBook Pro you're greeted by glorious, full-screen brightness. But that's only one gleaming quality of the glossy LED-backlit widescreen display. It offers a 60 percent greater color gamut than previous generations for richer, more vibrant colors. Anything you view—including the ultrathin display itself—is a spectacular experience. The seamless glass enclosure makes this display strong and durable. And the display is power efficient and mercury- and arsenic-free, so it's greener than ever.
Even the keyboard is advanced
The rigid aluminum keyboard you get with your MacBook Pro features webbing that has been cut precisely to hold the keys. The keys are curved to perfectly fit fingers for pure typing bliss. The keyboard is also illuminated, so when you're in low-light settings, such as airplanes or conference rooms, you can always see what you're typing.
It all just clicks
The first thing you might notice about the MacBook Pro's trackpad—or not notice—is the button. The entire trackpad is the button, so you can click anywhere. Without a separate button, the spacious trackpad gives your hands plenty of room to move on the large, silky glass surface. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Rotate an image with your fingertips. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Swipe with four fingers to show your desktop, view all open windows, or switch applications. If you're coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you'll wonder what you ever did without it.
Each MacBook Pro comes standard with a large hard drive—in this case 250GB of storage capacity, so there's plenty of room for your photo libraries, video projects, and files. MacBook Pro also features ample high-speed 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAMM memory, with support for up to 8GB of RAM (comes with 4GB), so you can run more applications at once and quickly access your data and media.
Inside this 13.3" MacBook Pro is a fast Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at 2.53GHz. The processor is based on groundbreaking 45-nm process technology and advanced Core microarchitecture. With the 1066MHz frontside bus and 3MB of shared L2 cache, your MacBook Pro runs applications faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Ports with possibilities
Every MacBook Pro is ready to work with your iPod, iPhone, digital camera, or external hard drive. If it has a cable, there's a place for it. You'll find two USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire 800 port for connecting faster peripherals. MacBook Pro even recognizes what you plug in, so you don't have to install new drivers.
From camera to computer, in an instant
Transfer your photos and videos to and from your MacBook Pro just as fast as you're able to take them. Built into the 13.3" MacBook Pro is an SD card slot so you can edit and share your photos and digital video on the spot.
Your studio to go
With the latest 802.11n wireless technology built into MacBook Pro, you're always seamlessly and effortlessly connected to the wireless world out there, at home, and at work. MacBook Pro automatically finds available networks and allows you to join them with just one click. Bluetooth capabilities are also built in, so brilliant accessories can become your wireless accomplices. With a built-in battery that lasts longer than ever before, you can do everything you need to do, where you need to do it.
Burn DVDs superfast
After editing and applying the finishing touches to your home movie masterpiece in iMovie and iDVD, use the ultrafast 8x SuperDrive on your MacBook Pro to burn it to DVD. The SuperDrive also writes to double-layer discs (DVDs with nearly 9GB of space), so it's great for backing up data too.

I've had my macbook pro for about a month and a half now. I had my last laptop for about 3 years. I finally made the switch from PC to MAC. The switch is nothing like you'd expect. There is a video tutorial for just about anything you can think of. All the help menu's are the best. I cannot say enough about this computer. It is so much lighter than my windows laptop. I was nervous about using the multi-touch pad, but it is one of my favorite parts. It makes every mac feature easier to use.My favorite application (on windows they're called programs) is GarageBand. You can do so much with that program and upload your finished songs directly into your itunes. Imovie is another one of my favorite applications. When you're done with Imovie, you can upload your projects into IDVD. Burning DVD's is the most simple from any DVD burner I've ever used. I cannot say enough good things about this computer. Safari is outstanding. The macbook is super fast. The Spaces feature is remarkable. I used to run a few programs on my old PC laptop and it would slow down dramatically, but with this computer, you can run big applications like LimeWire, Safari, GarageBand, and Itunes all at the same time and your macbook still runs smoothly. It is expensive, but well worth the price. On top of the thousands of applications that you can buy, there are thousands of free applications.I would recommend this to anybody. If you're nervous about making the switch into the Mac World, don't be...you WILL NOT regret it.
You won't want to go back. I was a lifelong PC user, but when my Sony VIAO died a month ago, I decided to give into the hype and give Mac a try, with the 2.5GHz 13" Macbook Pro. And honestly, it's brilliant; crazy fast (especially with the Snow Leopard OS) and very easy to use and navigate. The features make so much sense, its like someone actually talked to real computer users and took their advice, imagine that! The 250GB hard drive ate up my music/photo/movie library with ease, and the iLife software organizes them quite painlessly. The 13" size is the right choice, in my opinion. My previous notebook was a 15" and was just a tad too big to take to classes, use on an airplane, ect.., but the 13" does quite well, and manages an awesome resolution display with plenty of workspace. The battery is of some kind of fancy new design, and apple says the 13" will last 6 hours on a charge, which is a bit generous in my experence. Using wi-fi, and safari or iTunes, you'll see just short of 5 hours, which is still awesome. One of the reason I bought a Mac was for its abilty to record and manage multitrack editing. The included Garageband software is amazingly good, I've been able to fully coordinate a 5-song EP with my band without having learned HALF of the programs features. (I've been using an Apogee ONE interface, works perfectly, FYI)All in all, can't be beat. Beautiful, fast, well made, and sturdy.
