HeadAmp 6 PRO 6-Channel Headphone Amp
The ART HeadAmp 6 PRO 6-channel stereo headphone amplifier includes a 6-channel auxiliary input section that can be used to provide the popular "more-me" function on each headphone mix. Each output channel also features a dual-function balance control which will pan between the left and right sides of the main signal bus, or vary the mix between the main signal bus and the auxiliary input for that respective channel.

Bass and treble controls are included on each output channel for fine-tuning the tone. Outputs include both front- and rear-panel stereo 1/4" TRS jacks for ease of installation and quick patching capability. 2 mono select buttons on each channel select between 4 operating modes: Stereo, Mono Left, Mono Right, and Mono Both (left and right) for versatile monitoring solutions.

The main outputs for each channel of the headphone amplifier are rear-mounted stereo TRS jacks wired in parallel with the corresponding output jacks on the front panel. Front-panel, rear-panel, or both front- and rear-panel outputs can be used simultaneously to drive headphones or be used as feeds to additional headphone amplifiers in a distributed audio network.

Input options include XLR and 1/4" TRS balanced inputs with matching Thru jacks for bridging multiple HeadAmp6Pro units. An additional front-panel stereo 1/4" TRS jack for quick patch override of the rear panel inputs is included for quick insertion of any stereo source. 8-segment LED level indicators provide visual feedback of the signal level on all channels as well as the main signal bus.

The Gear One G40DX Stereo Headphones have a lightweight and comfortable design. These full frequency headphones collapse for easy transport and storage. The G40DX headphones are fully adjustable and have an attached 8' cable with a 3.5mm stereo jack. A ¼" stereo adapter is included.

Good enough

Features:

The amp is just fine, I like the channel features and it does work nicely.  Only had it a short time, hope it holds up but have no reason not to expect good and continued performance.

Go for the amp, dont expect much from the free headphones.  One of the six had a faulty plug so I had to replace on day one.   Thats when I learned how thin the wires are and became aware of just how delicate these headphones will be in use.

Nice enough equipment, I expect to invest in better headphones as the need arises.

based on amp alone

Overall:

Great toy, TBD how well it holds up in my studio over multiple users.

The only thing I can say about the Headamp Pro is it works as advertised!

The stereo reproduction, even through the supplied headphones is excellent.

Well worth the money! !

We purchased this combination pack for our home studio and are extremely pleased with the quality and features of the amplifier. The lower quality rating is because of the headphones. They are fragile and are not suitable for heavy use. Of the 6 we recieved, 5 of the sets have at least 1 ear/headband connector broken, 4 of them have faults in the jack connections. Most of these failings became apparent in our first session and have continued to the point of near uselessness. While they are comfortable to wear and sound reproduction is accurate enough, they don't shield sound well and we get a fair amount of bleed on vocal or acoustic tracks. We are going to have to replace all of them. So get the amp, definately a good choice, but spend the extra dollars and get higher quality headphones.

Purchased this unit in March of 2010 and have been using regularly since that time. It performs perfectly with no noise issues on any channels. Limited control per channel but that's not a huge constraint. Run the ST Sub-Out channels of the mixer straight in to this unit and we don't even use the mains for rehearsal. Of course, electronic drums is the key to that configuration.

I bought this amp as a simple solution for all us band memebers to be able to hear each other and ourselves clearly. Getting volume levels set in a small basement with concrete walls was proving to be very difficult and this was the perfect solution. The sound was so clear that we ran one of the extra outputs into a computer for a 1 shot recording. The recordings turned out clearer and cleaner than anything we had tried so far which included recording on a digital multi tracker.
