Use the ART SPLITCom Pro to split or combine balanced low-impedance microphone signals.

As a splitter
The SPLITCom Pro mic splitter provides one direct-coupled output and one isolated output from a single microphone. Applications include sending the direct output to the main or FOH mixer, and the second isolated output to a monitor or recording mixer. The main mic output passes phantom power from the main mixer to the MAIN MIC INPUT for use with condenser microphones. Phantom power is blocked from passing to the isolated mic output.

As a combiner
The SPLITCom Pro provides one output from two microphone inputs. The Phase switch can be used to invert the relative phase of the isolated mic input. Applications include dual miking of percussion instruments, choirs, and instrument amplifiers. Phantom power passes through each output to its respective input, (Main to Main, Isolated to Isolated), however phantom power is blocked from passing between the Main and Isolated signal paths. Only the audio passes between the Main and Isolated signal paths (it is present on all inputs and outputs).

The ART SPLITCom Pro includes a Ground switch, which, in the Lift position, will provide full galvanic isolation between the Main Mic Input (& Output) and the Isolated Mic Input (& Output) to reduce noise due to ground loops between connected AC-powered units.

Features
  • Low distortion with wide frequency response
  • Two functions in one box--combines and/or splits
  • Phase-invert switch for subtractive combining
  • Galvanic isolation to block phantom-power between channels

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

I have several of the older ART splitters and they have always worked great. I expect these will hold up as well if not better due to the more robust construction. The only negative is that the inputs and outputs are labeled with a dark print that makes them hard to read in low light conditions. I added some neon orange labels and now I can easily see which port is what.

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

Had one of these and was disappointed with the fact that it would not distribute phantom power to two condenser miss from one amp channel. Then came the day when I needed as many hand held dynamics as I could hook up, and this thing was the perfect channel saving solution, because phantom power was not required. I was so impresses that I ordered this, my second one, so I can run 4 hand held mica on 2 channels.

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

I have used this as a mic splitter. However, our DVD player which plugged into our video projector was also plugged into our mic system. It produced a visual horizontal scroll on the screen. The mic splitter removed the scrolling problem.

Just using it to split a signal for two powered subs where our throughput went bad on both. Cheap and easy solution that works perfectly.

            Works Great

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

I am a Contemporary Worship Director and I bought the SplitCom Pro to split the output from my vocals to have one going to the mains and one going to my monitor for independent volume control. It did everything I needed and did not have signal loss or ambient noise.

            Nifty Problem Solving Device . . .

            By Ken Gray

            from Undisclosed

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

I use two mics in our band's live set-up, but currently I only have one pre-amp for my vocals. This nifty device let me combine both of my mics into my one microphone pre-amp. It was a lot cheaper than going out and buying another pre-amp. No noise added. Both mics have the same level. Our sound guy has to only set one channel for my vocals. Does exactly what I needed it to do.
Simple device, not a lot of features, but has everything it needs to have to get the job done.
            Solid build. Solid connectors.
Great price providing a simple solution.

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

many great uses we use these to split signals to FOH and personal monitor mixers for drums and keys and we also use the isolation transformer to cut phantom power from lines (Phantom power can damage the Avalon and several other high end pre amp/ pedals/processors). All in all this is a very good product for multiple reasons.*******Well Done ART*******

            Does the job

            By Tone Obsessed

Comments about ART SplitCom Pro 2 Way Mic Splitter / Combiner:

This is a nice unit and does the job without adding any noise. I use it to double up, placing two mics on a single line. Just keep in mind that you'll only get phantom power through put through one side (i.e. one mic). To run two condensers you need a phantom power supply for the second mic. This is explained on the product description but isn't entirely clear. I use the dual Nady supply so I've got power for both mics if none is available. You can stack both boxes neatly with some short cables patching them together. Works well with minimal cable mess.
