The ATM710 Artist Series vocal condenser microphone is tailored for exacting detail and high-fidelity vocal reproduction. With a condenser design for studio-quality performance, the ATM710 delivers remarkable clarity. The microphone is equipped with an integral 80 Hz hi-pass filter that provides easy switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off position that reduces the microphone's sensitivity to popping in close vocal use. The ATM710 is also equipped with a switchable 10 dB pad that lowers the microphone's sensitivity, providing higher SPL capability. The microphone's cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of the desired sound source.
Requires phantom power.

Comments about Audio-Technica ATM710 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone:

I was using the SHURE SM58 for vocals and realized immediately when i sang the first note through this mic that is was another animal. It picks up the lows that other mics let get lost in the mix. the sound is Pure and as promised gives studio quality in a live performance. Could not be happier with this mic. I would recommend it to any singer who needs clarity especially on the lower range notes.

Comments about Audio-Technica ATM710 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone:

I have 8 of these microphones in use at a house of worship. I have found that have excellent response. They are mainly usde for childrens singing and have no trouble covering the range of voices but also the range of voice level.

    Ditch Your Dynamic Mics!

Comments about Audio-Technica ATM710 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone:

Audio-Technica is the microphone used every year for the Country Music Awards broadcast and VH-1's Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Even so, I used the Shure type dynamic and wasn't too impressed. I got into recording and began looking at condensers. Audio-Technica kept coming up and I got their AT2010 and then this mic, the ATM-710. WOW!!!! Crystal clear vocals, beautiful sound replication. You won't believe how good you can sound with a mic like this. Any dynamic sounds muddy by comparison. At this price, you can afford to step up to recording studio quality in your live performances.

Comments about Audio-Technica ATM710 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone:

I have used this mike for my vocals in many performances as a solo acoustic guitar player, singer, songwriter. It's so much more powerful than the dynamic mikes (Shure 57/58's) that I used to use. It took me a while to get it properly set at first. Now it's my secret vocal weapon it's so clear and balanced sounding. Plus several weeks ago at a regular outdoor gig of mine it flew out of my hand and landed square on the wooden deck. THUD! I thought, it's gone now. But no, it's tough as nails and I was thrilled. I say order one right away. I'm thinking of getting another for a friend to sing through. It'll bring out the quality of his voice he's missing with the other mikes. By the way, I use an AT4040 in my studio which I'm very happy with too.

Comments about Audio-Technica ATM710 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Microphone:

I have been using the mic for 10 years as a folk rock, singer songwriter. Combined with a Mackie DLM 12 and DLM 8 sound system the overall sound is superb. I run the system at a much lower volume than many performers, and get frequent comments that the sound is very clear, and much better than most bands and performers they hear. This mic is really great combined with an HD sound system.
