OVERVIEW

Become cable-free for a very friendly price!

Audio-Technica's ATW-201 professional VHF wireless system includes an ATW-R200 receiver, ATW-T201 transmitter, and Hi-Z instrument cable. The ATW-R200 receiver design features an innovative docking power supply configuration. An AC power adapter housed in a compartment in the receiver uses an IEC-standard detachable power cordset. Furthering its flexibility, the power adapter may be easily removed from the receiver case, permitting its use as a conventional in-line AC adapter. A novel dipole antenna system on the receiver improves operation by providing a ground element in addition to the usual signal element.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

This guitar system is ok. When you first get it its excting but after a while when you get over your rush and start tweaking things you cant get your tone to sound right. After about two weeks it started cutting out. Im a tall guy and i had it on my belt. Cut out, so i decited to put the transmitter pack on the strap level to my chest. it started working. Its easy to fall there. but insnt the point of a wireless to have freedom? No freedom if you keep cutting out. I have a show tonight and im not sure if i want to use it. I bout mine of musicians friend for 69.99 and now they dropped it to 59.99. the only channel they have is T8 and its limited quanitity. If it was good they would have gone sooner. Come on Audio Technica This is a ruse

During practices this wireless unit was really good. I was very impressed. It didn't cut out and it didn't fade as I walked clear across the street to test it's signal strength. For the price I thought this was a great buy. Come show time, when all the instruments and vocals are going, this thing started cutting out in the middle of our songs. I was very very aggitated. For the price I'm not too mad cause it was less than most systems....but if you want a good wireless system for your guitar, bass, vocals whatever...you're better off investing a couple hundred to get a great quality system...its like with anything you buy....gutiars, cars, drums....the more you pay....the better the product......i got what i paid for.....what should you do?

great wireless

I just bought this today and it is great. My tone is unchanged and I can go everywhere. I haven't really tested the distance but it's good enough for the school stage.

Colored sound

Everything is fine about this except: It totally colors your clean tones, makes your distorted tones squeel (bad sounding feedback) and lose bass, causes static in your sound. I know it's cheap but I found it unusable. I had to send it back and got beyerdynamic opus 500 and never regretted it. I would suggest that unit even though it's more expensive. This one doesn't work good enough. Maybe for practice only, but it wasn't good enough for me even for that.

You get what you pay for

I purchase two of these wireless units around 4-5 months ago. They both worked fine and I could walk around my house and even as far as the end of my driveway (about 75ft) before I lost the signal. I thought very cool and I only paid what I did. The problems I had where the plug connection on 1 unit got bent when I sat down and placed the guitar on my lap and now you have to twist the plug around to get a connection and as soon as it twist a little signal is cut. I saved the 2nd one just for gigs and then I unplug it when I take off my guitar. It also will go through the 9 volts really fast if you forget to turn it off everytime you stop playing.

Glover

By MetalGuitarWorld

Playing shows is great. Being wireless at a show and having the option of juming off stage into the crowd is another. This system, even though it doesnt look like much is the best. I never lost signal and the guitar actually sounded better than as if I was not wireless. I tested this at my last show and I couldnt more approve this product. I was looking for a wireless system without having to chop my leg off and sell at a pawn show to afford one. More bang for the Buck.Battery life on the transmitter is great, sound quality is excellent and its a simple installation. What more can ya ask for? Just make sure you buy a pouch, Medium size. And there ya go you are all set.Getcha Pull

The price is the quality.

I got it for christmas to play with my blue voodoo half stack. I have an Epiphone LP Custom. I lost a little low end (playing 48's). I actually gained some gain. The volume knob on the Transmitter is like a whole new Gain Knob. Overall, its good, went about 100 feet away and it worked great. Palmmutes were more better even when the amount of gain sounded the same as when I used a chord.

This system works great, it was able to play through 5 walls when I tested its signal strength, but the only flaw is that the transmitter needs to have the batteries changed almost every day. I wouldn?t use it for practicing but only for performing

Don't Buy It!!!!!

By Slash1

I bought this system in March this year for my B-day. It worked okay. If you put it in the right spot it will loose its signal and stop ptting a sound out. The tone was pretty good and it worked fine for about 4 months. Then one day, it just stopped working for no reason at all. I ddn't abuse it ia all. It just stopped working. I'm glad I bought the extended warrantee for it so I can get my money back. I'm going to buy a Shure system next time. If Shure wireless systems are good enough for Slash, then they are good enough for me. Don't buy this system. Save yourself the headache and don't bother with it.
