The Audio-Technica ATW-222 Freeway Hand-Held Wireless System provides flawless performance for artists and presenters in a variety of settings. The heart of this rugged True Diversity VHF system is the ATW-R220 receiver. It houses two independent receiver sections in a single unit. True Diversity operation selects the better signal from the two sections, reducing dropouts and interference while increasing system reliability. Other professional features include balanced and unbalanced outputs, ground lift, adjustable squelch, and two detachable antennas.
The ATW-T202 handheld microphone/transmitter features a unidirectional dynamic element for feedback rejection and dependable performance as well as a battery-status indicator and adjustable gain control.

I'm impressed the Mic sound wonderful, dependable and battery life is nice for the price. No handling noise.
Wow! I'm pretty impressed by this little wonder from AT. Audio-Technica is the RC Cola of the pro-audio world. They are cheaper and less widely-purchased, but they are reliable and a give a lot of bang for your buck. This unit is no exception. I've only had it for a week now, so I can't give a very good testament to its longevity, but it's range is superior and its audio is crystal clear.I can't say anything bad about this mic system for it's price. Sure, its not a Sennheiser or Shure system with customizable frequencies and such, but its a true diversity reciever for less then three figures. You really can't top this for the value-oriented DJ or band musician. A+ in my book.
It's no $400.00 Shure, but for $100.00 it's a great buy! And it works great too.
I got this mic in January of 2006. I have used it for 6 gigs with no problems. The sound, sensitivity & build of this mic is fantastic. This would be a great deal at double the price.Sound: Very rich and warm. Range: I have tested to about 250' with no drop in signalBuild: Rugged, good weight - albeit a little top-heavy. Use: Mobile DJ - Doing a lot of announcementsGreat mic for a great price. Although Sure Mic's might still reign surpreme this mic gives it a run for the money in build and sound quality. My only complaint would be that the power switch is on the bottom.
I've used a few different wireless hand helds as a Dj....this mike works great for the price! Cheap enough so that you don't sweat some idiot dropping it.
Purchased these for our church a month ago. They are used at least 5 times a week. So far no complaints and they have risen to the occasion each time. Not all that crazy about the plastic housing for the mics, but for the price you're paying you can't expect any more. I'm going to purchase more.
