Audio Technica wireless is inadequate

I have owned 2 Audio Technica wireless mics and both have been woefully inadequate. I told my guy at the music store when I bought the second one that I wanted a Shure, not an AT, product and he assured me that the AT was great. I have had nothing but problems with it. I can't walk out front without feedback, I have to use two 9-volts to get through a 4 hour gig, and after midnight it always gets noisy. Changing the channel during a show is not an option because the cover of the bodypack has to be removed to do so and then you have to use a tiny screwdriver to change the channel and you can't see what you're doing under normal stage lighting. The receiver's output is 1/4" only. The "mute" position is unusable because it's so noisy. I am furious with my music store guy for selling me this product and I will never ever ever again buy anything made by Audio Technica.

I use Audio Tecnica wireless units with great success, but this?!! What good is frequency selection when this unit is NOT true diversity. Single receiver with "dipole" atennea. Not adequate for even undemanding situations. Lousy dynamic mic element just adds to the insult. AT makes outstanding, reliable wireless systems. This is not one of them.
