Comments about Audio-Technica M8000 Dynamic Mic:

This is much hotter than SM58 and a little brighter. We have used it for two back up singers sharing one mic and it worked better than a SM58.
You can hammer nails with a 58... we'll see how this hold up. I would rate it 5 stars if it can take the road abuse. Time will tell.

Comments about Audio-Technica M8000 Dynamic Mic:

I have always used Shure 57 and 58's, so I was kind of excited to test a different mic. I was pleased with the sound but you can't have much monitor at all before it causes the PA to feedback. I'll carry it around as a back-up but doubt I will ever use this mic unless its an emergency.

Comments about Audio-Technica M8000 Dynamic Mic:

We purchased 4xM8000s 2 years ago for our Church. The Shure SM58 was recommended to me, but after looking at the reviews of the M8000, I thought I would give them a try. We are a mobile Church and so all the equipment is handled quite often, stored in a trailer, etc. The M8000s have performed beautifully without any issues at all.

Comments about Audio-Technica M8000 Dynamic Mic:

Certainly if will feed back it you stick it right in the speaker. Use a little common sense. It's a quality microphone and that means it is sensitive. Personally, I think it sounds a bit better than the SM 58 and that says a lot because to me the SM 58 is top-notch.

I've alreadu used it to record some radio commercials and I have no complaints at all. It's a good microphone...not the best...but very good, plus it's rugged. You can take it on the road if need be.

Comments about Audio-Technica M8000 Dynamic Mic:

I like audio-technical mics. Having numerous 4000's and liking their sound while resisting feedback, when I saw the 8000's for sale on Mic Madness I ordered a few. Much hotter mic, great sound reproduction and so far the feedback control seems reasonable.

        Comments about M8000 Dynamic Mic:

I have been keeping an eye on these mics for a long time waiting for a sale that made them to good to resist. I had a chance to hear one at a friends and was really impressed with the sound and ease of dialing them in. A real nice full range vocal mic for live performance. Built well and no switch to worry about. Glad I added it to my SM57 and 58's as well as my Super 55. I also have some M4000's for karaoke and when I don't want to worry about my gear getting jacked up. I think a few high end mics are next.
