            This software is incredibly versatile and can make very professional recordings in the hands of someone who understands it. But please, give yourself time to learn to use it. This is not a program you can learn overnight. The various user guides add up to 2,000 pages. It also takes a computer with a powerful processor. I have occasional trouble with my dual core Intel processor not being able to keep up. Also, if you purchase this, go onto Avid's website and buy one of the recommended hard drives to use exclusively for Pro Tools sessions. You'll be glad you did! The only other glitch I've had is that I sometimes get a noisy audio track to record with. I think this might be in the USB system in my computer (only 2.0--3.0 would be better). If I close the program and restart the computer, it clears this problem up. The recordings I've made to date sound great, and that's really the bottom line. And I saw a previous review saying this takes an ILok authorization. That's true, but mine came with an ILok in the box, so that wasn't an issue.

            Easiest and fastest way to jump into Pro Tools with a PC

            Having just upgraded my studio to a new server that runs 4 quad core processors and 32 g of ram.....( thats smokin' for a pc )....this is a dream come true !!!.....I also loaded it on an average laptop with a dual core and 4 g of ram.....and it runs smoothly !! da da da da da......I'm lovin' it !

            Feels Rock solid to me....
            Duh !!.....do the math....
