The powerful 1000W B-52 LX-18EV3 Folded Subwoofer delivers intense long-throw bass while remaining a mobile and extremely affordable speaker. The LX18EV3 is ideal for live sound and music replay applications. The LX-18EV3 features the B-52 18-220X subwoofer. The cabinet, made in the US, features 7-layer 3/4" plywood construction, reinforced internal bracings, and is finished with impact forgiving black carpet and 4" heavy-duty casters.
The speaker's 18" subwoofers are housed in a compression chamber that minimizes the excursion of the driver while maximizing the subwoofers' output. The optimally-sized acoustic aperture of the compression chambers forms the throat of the horn and helps force the air at an increased velocity and pressure. The LX-18EV3 subwoofer's compression chamber optimizes the horn's output, allowing for amazing output levels.
All B-52 folded-horn cabinets are loaded with the new B-52 18-220X subwoofer which provides high-power handling, great efficiency, very low distortion, and accurate sound reproduction. Key features include:
•4-inch "inside/outside" voice coil wound on both sides of the glass fiber coil former, providing more effective cooling through greater air contact
•The light weight and robust cast aluminum frame is shaped to minimize reflections on the back of the cone
•The entire loudspeaker is designed to work as a "heat sink" for extreme cooling efficiency
•The advanced magnet topology ensures an even distribution of magnetic flux throughout the whole magnet assembly, resulting in symmetrical motor movement that prevents stray flux which can cause interference
•The glass-fiber impregnated cone incorporates a sealed surround and added edge-damping to greatly reduce the occurrence of unwanted cone resonances •The vented magnet ensures constant air circulation to drive heat away from the magnet assembly

I bought one of these monsters a year ago and loved it! Had to get a second one....couldn't help myself....man what a difference with two. These things hit so hard when paired that they will literally make people cry. I power them with a Crown 2400 amp bridged mono. You must feed them ample power and EQ them for maximum thump! We then electrified our drummer's bass drum with a trigger and this doubled the sound with absolutely no stage feedback or mic rumble! We can play large outside venues with two of these fairly easily but you better have the midrange and horns to match the lows!! Great product for the $$.

Ok... Why i named th 18ev3 ZEUS.... simple... god of thunder... this sub hits so hard i cant believe it.. im powering it with an Samson SX-1800 running in mono (1500 rms and 1800 peak) the sub is crossed at 47 cycles.. In most clubs, Zeus will vibrate the celing tiles loose! I know this because i have to dump out the dirt that rains down from the celing the following day. folks... this speaker is simply the best investment i have ever made (in the speaker world) and you do NOT need to buy two.. unless (lol) you got an insanlly large amp and a colossal room..i did an HS dance.. in the gym..(full gym) the rafters were buzzing.
Simple and Perfect.
Second To none..
Try and get another Folded Horn thats better.. i dare you

These subs will shake the fillings out of your teeth. I first had my doubts about how much air these subs would move, but after supplying them with an ample amount of power (800 watts each), I decided I needed more to fully push these subs. With just the 800 watts, I had stuff falling off my walls and shaking the room next door to my studio. Your hair will literally stand up on end if you are in front of these babies! Be warned, these subs are not for small clubs as they are way too much bottom end unless that is what you are after. I pair them with a set of JBL SF25's and push about 1200 watts to the subs and about 1100 watts to the mains by way of a driveack and have enough sound to fill almost any venue, including outdoors. Great buy, great sub, great sound. You will not go wrong with the addition of these folded horns. One comment about folded horns, they pretty much direct the bass out front and do not "surround" a room like conventional subs.
