Lightweight And Powerful. Built For DJs.
When Beats teamed up with powerhouse DJ and producer David Guetta, they embarked on a journey to develop both a loud and lightweight headphone that would excel in nightclubs. The Mixr headphones are the culmination of David Guetta’s challenge for Beats by Dr. Dre to create the perfect set of world-class ear cups. One year and thousands of prototypes later, Beats is proud to present one of their lightest, loudest headphones ever.
INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH SOUND
Designed to be heard over parties. Beats Mixr headphones deliver extremely deep bass at extraordinarily high volume. Made for pros warming up the party.
MADE FOR DJS
Rotating ear cups swivel back behind the ears, then rotate back for total isolation. With dual input and daisy chain connectors, it’s easy to share what you’re listening to.
Beats Mixr headphones are built to withstand the rigors of DJ life, which means creating a housing flexible and tough enough to take a beating. The ultra-flexible headband was also crafted to be extremely lightweight and easily foldable for jetting off to your next destination.

Comments about Beats By Dre MIXR:
These do sound great but Ive been using for studio use. I baby my equipment, and it all worked fine until I was recording a client and he grabbed the phones and they snapped in half. They still work and sound great but they are broke. Cheap plastic. You would think for as much as these cost they would have a metal band instead of the cheap plastic.
Comments about Beats By Dre MIXR:
I got a pair of these for a Christmas present from my wife, she knows I'm an electronic junkie....for lack of a better word. These puppies do bring out the sweet stuff when listening to movies and even mp3 music, lemme give credit where credit is due.
But as far as durability goes, if you plan on getting these bad boys, don't stretch the band too far thinking they were made for rough treatment. That's not even what caused mine to break. I was drumming and used these because you hear the bass and other instruments that another set of headphones in this price range and under, would not be capable of bringing out in the sound with crystal clarity.
The earmuffs got wet n hot and I put the band over my knee so as to wipe both earmuffs in my pants to dry them off and....KRAKK!!!!....that killed my mood for drumming instantly.
The sound is nice man, but for the money they are not a decent investment because of the plastic parts. Mine broke in this month (May).....six months to be exact. I bought the Black BeatBox and to this day it still rocks awesome sound, having my friends amazed with the kinda sound that is coming out of that little black box.
I was running from dishing out over four hundred for a pair of head phones, but the Pros seem to be the only pair of headphones that could take real rough treatment and do it while delivering crystal clarity.
To all those considering owning a pair of these Mixrs, treat them as something fragile and forget about the "Incredibly Durable" you've read in the add. Trust me on this....
