This speaker is built to take the abuse of shipping for sure. When I received a pair of these recently, one of them had a big dent in the grill right above the logo. It looked as if it had been drop kicked off the truck. I hooked it up to see if it worked and sure enough, it sounded awesome. I later took off the grill and fixed the dent. I love Behringer equipment. It's great stuff for the price.
Considering the fact that almost all professional loudspeakers built for PA or DJ systems tend to buzz and sound raspy, these speakers are the exception. I have two high quality Jamo home speakers that I use for DJ practice, and the Behringers sound just as good, and also pack a powerful punch. Even though they tend to weigh more than the injection molded cabs, their clarity and sturdiness make up for it. You just can't get a better deal. Eventually, I will be buying a Behringer subwoofer to round out the bottom end; I am sold on this company. I believe they will be the next Mackie or JBL, and possibly exceed those names.
I bought two of these as mains to go with my Behringer powered mixer. They Sound fantastic. They are listed as heavy but they are designed well and it is no problem for one person of average strength to carry one. They are more than worth the little extra over some of their peers.
Bought these on a prayer. Sound excellent, especially for the price. Great features found only on high end stuff. I hope they hold up.
