I have been a pro speaker fanatic practically all my life. I've owned JBL's, Peavey's(SP5/TLS 5), Mackie's and the like and they were all great but always had a harmonious sound imbalance. If the bottom wasn't overbearing, the highs were too piercing. There always seem to be more bottom traveling further into the audience than mid's or high's which generally drop off about midway even with adequate equalization. However, with the B1520 Pro's, I don't have that problem even without equalizing. These speakers provide perfectly balanced and harmonious sound output that is pristine clean and natural not processed sounding. Great speakers. I think I'll add the B1220 Pro monitors to my system as well.

I'm not sure how this product has 5 stars across the board. I started helping out with the childrens ministry at my church and they had 3 of these, of which only 1 was fully functional. One had a crackling tweeter and the other had no bass.
Long story short, I opened the 2 partially working ones up and both had elements on the crossover that had broken solder joints. Most pieces were held on with hot glue or zip ties. After I fixed the solder joints, both speakers worked perfectly. Neither speaker had evidence of abuse or even being dropped.
It would have been 3 stars since 1 for 3 is a pretty bad record. However, even in working condition the sound quality was mediocre at best. The highs get harsh and almost distorted at louder volumes (tested with multiple professional level amps). I used to own some cheaper Yamaha BR15s that I thought were more reliable and performed better.
The one thing I will give Behringer on these speakers is that they have great bass response. Unfortunately they only advertise a useless (-10db) frequency response so I don't know what the real usable range is but these guys crank out some nice bass when you EQ for it. But what good is that when you can't even rely on the crossover to hold up to regular road use! I've always heard the joke that all of Behringer's products are put together with hot glue. Unfortunately this one is not an exception

Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I work as both a DJ and a Sound Engineer. These speakers are awesome. I had a speaker cable go bad at a mobile DJ gig and I had to run only one speaker for the entire night. I didn't even have to pump it and it sounded great and didn't strain the speaker hardly at all. WELL worth the price and VERY RELIABLE. I lug these speakers around in my truck all the time back and forth to gigs and they still work as if they were never moved. Great buy!
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I own one of these and I'm buying a second next week (that is all you need to put on a good live show). Let me just say, this thing thumps. Not only good for a live band setting but great to just put an iPod through. The clarity of the sound is great. you can really hear the "2-way" in it. I would spend the extra $50 and get the A1520. It has a different casing (I think thats the difference) and sounds a lot more full.
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
If you couple the gold coverage with these cabs you probably can't go wrong. The only reason I don't give these a full five is because they aren't an EV or a Yamaha or whoever else you prefer here... I've used and owned several different brands of cabs throughout the years. Most of the time what I'm looking for is a good balance between affordability and quality. These cabs are a no brainer, they have a ton of sound for a small price. Horn driver protection circuitry is a must, and I believe Behringer has taken it a little farther than just a fuse, or a polyswitch. They've combined all those gizmos in these cabs and that makes for a more maintenance free playing experience! I will eventually get the matching 18's to make a qasi three way for my dj and late night giggin excursions!
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
Wow is all I can say. I put these speakers up in an elks lodge ran large guage speaker wire and mounted them to the wall approximatley 8' off the floor the room was 60'x60' using a qsc 2450 power amp and a ultragraph pro. I cranked up the volume and rattled the glasses off in the bar... way big THUMP! and crystal clear sound. listening to a CD through this set up and it freaked me out about all the nuances I caught for the first time. For the price it should be considerd a steal. No need to buy those expensive speakers. These rock. I've been playing for 20 years. And im trading in my hi end set. If ya want a WALL-O-SOUND buy em.
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I purchased a pair of Refurbs for $299.98 with free shipping. Great deal! Speakers sound very good, solid. Very heavy though 65lbs each, so they are a bit difficult to handle by one person. I have mostly Berhinger equipment, and am very happy with their products (except for their cheap headphones). Would definitely recommend these speakers for good quality sound on a budget.
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I bought these as many of us have in a P.A. package with the eurolive 3000 mixer. I use them in everything from outdoor venues to small indoor venues. These things are beefy as can be and are super road worthy. They can crank too! If running direct with guitar amp they lack some tone but you can fix that by mic-ing up your amp instead of directing it. So if your looking for a set of P.A. speakers these are definately a good buy.
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I'm in a band and we had to deal with crapy speakers. I bought these speakers in a pa package and these are the best speakers I have herd. Why waste your money on JBL or Mackie, these are just as good, or in some places even better.
Comments about Behringer B1520 Pro Eurolive Professional Series 15" 2-Way Speaker:
I bought four of the B1520 Pro speakers. I have a 850 watt amp (425 per channel at 4 ohms) and daisy chained two of these per channel to make 4 ohms. I thought the sound was good, but needs a little more bass. However, I've used Peavey speakers before and can't tell the slightest difference in the sound, bass included. I'm going to buy a powered Carvin sub woofer to kick the bass a little. I've cranked the amp and mixer full throttle and they seemed to handle the power well with no distortion. I'm using the system in D.J. work and live stage sound in Crusade and church meetings, using various Gospel and Contemporary Christian music. I'll have to wait to see how they hold up over time.
