Bought a pair of those voor PA-purposes. But before that, i tried them out in my livin'room.Wow... not bad at all. These babies put out very decent sound. A DAP Vintage 2000 rated at 750 (8Ohm-)watts/channel rms provided the power.Obviously i was very carefull with the volumeknop. On the other hand, i believe that this sort of speaker benefits al lot from a capable (stable) powerhouse. Please note that this speakers' powerrate is questionable. I think it's more like the 200 watts they advertise, are values of 'program play' rather than the continuous power rates are actually at hand.Believe it or not... I don't care. Sadly, we live in a world where figures are more important than the actual qualities. What a do care about are the good things that come along with this speaker. These speakers in fact have some exceptional qualities. For starters: their sound, as mentioned above. Clean, clear and crisp - never fatiguing. And then there is their weight. It beats me how they managed to put so much good sound in such a little and lightweighting cabinet. In comparisation to the competion, they are pretty cheap too. (Is this a quality too? ;-))Either way, i listend a very very very long time to them in my livingroom and i will hate to see them go... Raf

Comments about Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair:

We actually purchased speakers to use in a fraternal cub hall (seats 200) setting, for use as a PA and play music/tv sound. Great value and great sound. Purchased 4 speakers, 1 had a problem with the tweeter not working. Contacted customer service and they replaced it in less then 4 days.

Comments about Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair:

I heard these speakers when some friends did a show not long ago and took a chance on them.
My 60lb JBL's are just to big and heavy for me, and I did not need them on some smaller gigs.
These Speakers really surprised me ! they are crystal clear and definitely cut throw the live mix, I only put vocals and 1 acoustic through them a very tight clear sound from these speakers using a Yamaha EMX512 PA head i also like the dual 1/4 phono and Speakon connector on each speaker

Great value for the money, Lets see how they hold up under pretty regular use, we are not hard on our equipment so only time will tell!

Depending on the event, these speakers can do a medium size gig, or work great for add on to other speaker cabs. I own 4 of them, and they can kick. I think they can stand up to higher priced speakers hands down.

They were great, then they weren't.

Comments about Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair:

I bought the Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair, when I first got them, there were amazing, great sound quality, and they could go LOUD. I loved them. But a couple days ago, me and some friends went to play using them, and they started sounding really fuzzy and we could smell burning plastic. We weren't running them very loud, maybe a quarter of what they could put out. So we stopped using them, and the next day I tried again. It was the same just much worse, just buzzing and fuzzyness. That night I tried one last time, and now they only barely put out any sound, just a little bit of treble and rattling from the midrange. I have absolutely what no idea what caused them to degrade so quickly and suddenly, and I'm very disappointed. I hope I can get them replaced or my money back.

Comments about Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair:

We purchased the Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair as we were patching together a PA system for our small church.Though we only use the lower volume settings to fill our 2500 square foot room with clear and crisp sound, we can crank them up during rehersals and still sound great! Primarily used for voice and recorded music, we have been very happy with the quality output of the sound. This is a great starter set for anyone on a tight budget!

Good sound in a small package

          By guitarguy

          from Oregon

Comments about Behringer B212XL Passive Speaker Pair:

I just received a pair of these and I must say I was at first surprised by the very compact size. They are much smaller than other competitive products. The sound they put out however is big. They have a surprising amount of low end. The sound is clean and clear. I have really cranked these and so far no distortion. My only "complaint" is the sensitivity rating is quite low, 95db. Ok not a major issue but something to consider. You just have to run them a bit harder than others to get the same output. They really do sound great and are very portable. I really like them.
