Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
I had to bump up the highs a lot but it was the first time using them. Next time I will just cut the freq going to them and let the subs do the work for the low end. Good speakers.
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
I received these speakers a little over two weeks ago. They came by the end of the week of my purchase. I bought the 2000watt Behringer and they make a great pair. Easy to set up with 2 inputs both 1/4 and speakon. Very light weight too! My previous speakers were wooden Peavy 12" and these were much lighter and easy to maneover.
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
You absolutely cannot bat the value of these cabinets. I love the lightweight design and flexibility of the cabinet design I love the dual speakon inputs and 1/4" inputs all being parallelled together the cabinets are rugged and very well put together I love that I can 1 hand my cabinets into just about any place I want and need them to be. But, I have found that these cabinets don't sound quite as good as the wooden Behringer cabs I hav so I would recommend them as supplement to a set of baby old wooden cabinets to help with the fullness of your PA sound

It's Been A Year Since I Purchased These And 9 Months Since Purchasing The Second Set And I Still They Got It Right!!! I Have Mixed For All Types Of Bands, And D.J. On A Regular Basis. I Have Also Used The BIG NAME Stuff And For The Money These Speakers Cannot Be Beat! I Did Also Purchase The PMP6000 Powered Mixer And I Have Had ZERO Problem. Price Quality And A Great Sound!!! KUDOS
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
I use to own a pair of the B212XL's. I blew those up due to improper use, and decided to buy the big brothers. So after buying a pair of these I bought another. If you know what you are doing as far as sound goes these are the speakers for you. They make great tops for any system. I use them along with some subs, and have them cross correctly and I mean with the 4 of them I can fill gyms and halls like no other now. The sound is very crisp and clear, and for the price how could anyone say now. I have heard JBL's and other more expensive brands, but would not trade my system with these for any. I bought them for the price, but i'm keeping them for there quality. Behringer got it right with these. Hope you enjoy!
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
I absolutely love these speakers. We play metal and acoustic rock in our band and they sound very clear with plenty of bass, mid, and treble. I'm running the PMP2000 pa mixer through them. We haven't had any troubles at all in the 10 months that we have had them. I'm planning to buy another pair of these as well. I love Behringer.
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
I own a set of these and use them to run sound for a Classic Rock act playing 100 - 300 typical sized crowds. No longer need 2 extra gorillas to help mount speakers on a stand as I can do it myself and I'm '50 something.' These speakers sound great! Good clarity and nice low end although if you're micing a bass guitar or bass drum at volumes, you should use a subwoofer. That pretty much goes for any speaker setup. Agree with the other rater who said: 1) Know the specs of your speaker 2) Use the proper power amp for the speaker 3) Know how to run a mixer/eq and avoid excessive clipping.
Lightweight. 1/4 Inch OR Speakon inputs.
I have no reason to suspect the quality. Solid and rugged, well designed and put together. I own numerous pieces of Behringer gear and like ANY gear, take care of it, don't abuse it and will last.
What can I say, great bang for the buck!
Comments about Behringer B215XL Passive Speaker Pair:
My guess is that the guy that burned out the speakers may not know a few things about speakers and the power needed to run them. Most people think that you need to have higher power ratings on their speakers than on their amps. This is a big misnomer. Actually your amp needs to have at least a power rating of 1.5 times the power rating of the speakers so you have what is called head room. When you use a lower powered amp and turn up the volume, you will notice distortion. When there isn't enough power to have what is called head room, the amp does a thing called clipping. When an amp starts clipping, it sends AC (voltage) directly to the voice coils which creates high heat and burns them out. I have actually seen a speaker smoke. So, make sure you have at least 1 1/2 times thewattage from the amp as the the speaker you are going to run. example: 500 watt speaker, get a 750 - 1000 watt amp. Another thing that will burn up things is too many speakers run from an amp. The more speakers run parallel, the lower the ohms (resistance) and things heat up.... bye bye amp....
