Bridged-Mono

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

First off, I was not aware for many years that if you bridge this amp mono, you must re-wire your speakon cables to actually make it work.If you don't you will only get stereo power. One side of your speakon must be normal (+1 -1). The other side which plugs into the amp must be (+1 +2). Change the minus 1 to plus 2, and then everything will work flawlessly.Anyways, these amps are very powerful and seem to get the job done. Why ever buy anything else?I could power a venue with probably 5000 people just running a bunch of these. Not to mention I have owned them for years, and gigged with them, and NEVER have had an issue of any sort. They run no matter what outlets you give them, and no matter how much you bang them around. I own 4, and have never had a failure. I trust them, unlike most behringer stuff. (These amps actually sound really good).Great amps!

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

I am a self proclaimed gear snob. I always used EAW/Martin Audio/Allen & Heath etc. I recently had to build a system with a limited budget, hence I very reluctantly went with several Behringer products, including 8 EP4000's. I will tell you that I now have come to the other side. Behringer has some of the best products for the value! As far as this amp is concerned: It is great clean power. It's great if you have an unlimited budget to buy a Crest or Crown, but you get what you are paying for. With Behringer, you get 5 times what you are paying for. Great knowledgeable tech support, great customer service. This company is very enthusiastic about what they do, and you can tell. I never thought I would ever say this, but Behringer is a superb product.

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

This amp is built like a tank! I ran 2 old school Community Light & sound PBL's from the 1970 and 2 bass cabinents - this amp was incredible. During sound test I was reaching 120db at 100 ft without any distortion. Both channels were at 4ohm. Behringer has come al long way with the quality, You could spend more. In my case I am being hired to provide sound support not a hight priced label .

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

When I purchased this amp, I wasn't too sure about the sound quality. Boy was I wrong! I already own a EP2500, and decided to purchase this one. I will be looking to purchase another 4000 in the near future. I normally stack my speakers on top of one another, Probably won't be doing that again. The 4000 had my larger speakers hitting so hard, the speaker on top vibrated off. That speaker, also a behringer, dropped 5 1/2ft to the floor. It's still working, thank God. But, love the amp!!!

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

I run a DJ company in toronto and also a float in Caribana. I first baught this amp to run high/mids and one gig one of my guys pluged in a bad speaker wire into mu QSE4050 I ended up blowing one chanel in the QSE. I took the Behringer EP4000 and hooked it up to 4 18inch Jr.Earthquakes. I could not belive it!!! This amp pushed those bins all night didn't overheat or clip. "look at this. The QSE 1450 is half the power of the EP4000 and is priced $100.00 higher. The QSE 4050 is a 30amp amp and the Behringer EP4000 is a 15amp, but they run close or equal in power rating the QSE4050 sells for $1,399.00 the Behringer cost $365.00. I now have own 5 EP4000. NOTE: when using the EP4000 don't be fooled by the 15amps it really pulls 27amps use a 30amp power bar or you will trip your 15amp power bar. another thing to look for in a amp this amp is stable at 2ohms. very important when chosing a amp, because you can run 2 4ohms speakers on one side or 4 8ohms on a side. Excelent job Behringer on this amp

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

As the owner of a Production company, I've used many amps in my time. I had been using a QSC RMX 1450 bridged to power my double 18" 1200 watt Yamaha subs. I decided to save some space in my rack since I needed four QSC amps just for the subs. Bought two of these to try them out. Running stereo, paralleled inputs at 1400 watts output per channel, same power as the QSC's, I had NO problem. The bass thump was there. Running a production company and providing sound for national acts, you tend to stay away from the cheaper stuff. You have to have reliable equipment! I'm impressed with these amps. They do draw a little more amperage (2 amps)than the two QSC's put together but that's not a big deal. Just curious to see if they will last ten + years with regular road use like the QSC's. You need real raw power on a budget, Get it!

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

I do both live sound small and large scale plus I DJ for larger events. I started with 1 of these. Powering a 2 of my dual 18" sub cabinets these amps don't skimp on pushing out the power. The first time I took this amp out I DJ'd a large wedding. The bass rattled a can light loose from the ceiling. The bass was so tight a smooth. Now for my live events. My live sound is a 3-way system with this amp powering the low's. I tried the am on 2 of my subs. I liked the tight bass with more punch so much on running 2 cabinets I went ahead and replaced all of my sub amps with ep4000's. I have 8 dual 18" subs all running at 4ohms and my bass has never sounded prettier. The price is right on these units too because I was able to outfit all my amp racks with these. Okay for the negatve... They are sort of heavy... That's it.

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

Still have mixed feelings about some Behringer electronics. Over the years I have had to used many of their products, some great some awfull. for the most part I would recomend Peavy or Samson if your on a tight budget. When it comes to the EP4000 amp I can only say good things. I bought the first one strickly because of the price. I needed a back up amp and the price and power output was right. I am considering buying a third. worked great for subs, monitors and recently tried it for mains on a small passive 3 way stereo 4 ohm per ch. In each case I was cautiosly expecting problems I was pleasently suprised at how well they performed. I;ve been using 2 of them for a couple years now and they are still going strong. If you are looking for power amps for your system these amps are no doubt, absolutly THE BEST value on the market.

Over all this amp is legit. Ive been a HUGE behringer fan from the beginning. I will continue to buy their products for a long time. If you dont have a lot of cash but you want sweet quality gear by Behringers products.
This amp is tough. Ive been doing live sound for about 7 years and I have never ran into an amp that could pump it out like this one. For the price it is amazing. 4000 watts for a the price. Whats not to like? This is a perfect amp to use if your running sound for national and local bands I love it. You will too!!

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

I still believe in Crown, QSC and Crest amps, because this is what I have used the last 13 years of my sound company. I purchased this Behringer because of the price. For the price, it is a super value, BUT when I A-B ed against my Crown TXI4000, it did not stand up. The tone was different and it clipped under pressure. I still think that you can not go wrong if you buy this amp. I agree with one of the other writers that the specs are a little overrated. It compares closely with the Peavey 2600 amp in my opinion.

This amp is pretty good. We use it to push 4 18" subs in parallel mode. 2 per side. We only have to open it to about 2/3 full power and subs shake and thump. This thing is a real workhorse for those who cannot afford QSC, Crest, and Crown.

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

I got the Behringer EP4000 to run a pair of Peavey PV 118's. It seems to be a perfect match. The Behringer has plenty of power to run those subs at maximum potential. With some left over if you really want to hear them scream. Looking forward to seeing if it can take the load of another pair of 18's. The EP4000's other nice feature is the selector switches on the back of the unit. They give you multiple options like low frequency filters, and limiters built in, but most importantly a selectable parallel input pass through in order to easily hook up mutiple units. (A feature slightly more expensive amps don't have.) Awesome stuff for an amp at this price level. The EP4000 is a tank. It's heavy, rugged, and seems well built. Another nice after thought is that the binding posts have a nice cover plate to protect them when using the Speakon connections. The only thing I'd upgrade on the unit is the gain knobs to a tighter more quality feel. (Also helps with accidental adjustment.) So for the price, I'd highly recommend the Behringer EP4000.

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

EP 4000 power amp is very simple to use has excellent sound quality and in a price range that people can afford. I would recommend this amp to a friend. My only con is the speakon jacks.

Comments about Behringer EP4000 EUROPOWER Power Amp:

Overall, is a great amp, really cheap for what it provides. I suggest it DEFINITELY to those who want nice sound in low price. The only negative of this amp is that it weights 16kilos. For those who don't want it that much heavy, can search for Behringer's new iNUKE amps. They weight at about 3-5kilos but they are a bit expensive.
clip and signal leds, pins on the back easy programmed, you can cut off low signals (50-30Hz), back to front air-flow. Fast fan.
I work with two of these amps. I use one for 4 speakers (2+2) and the other one with 2 subs (1+1). They don't get hot at all since the back to front air flow does a great job with it's fast fan. Also, it doesn't heat the flight case/rack/eq case at all for the same reason. The most time I used it was 5 continuesly hours in a live.
The Eurolive amp series are awesome. They are cheap, a great value for money, plus they provide you many watts in low price
