Sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing and sound modification tools.

The SX2442FX EURODESK mixer is designed to meet the needs of studio and live mixing applications, with a comprehensive set of features that combine sonic excellence and a full complement of mixing and sound modification tools.

This 4-bus mixer features ultralow noise, high-headroom XENYX microphone preamps. 24 channels (20 mono, 2 stereo). Mono input channels feature three-band, semi-parametric mid-range EQ with Neo-classic "British" response. Stereo input channels provide precise four-band equalization. Each input has four aux sends with two sends switchable between pre/post fader, for a flexible mix of monitor and effects applications.

External signal processing racks can be largely eliminated, thanks to the two integrated effects processors and stereo 9-band graphic EQ. One-hundred 24-bit / 96kHz studio-quality effects presets can be called-up and assigned to one or both internal effects buses. Main or Monitor output EQ is set and fine-tuned with the intuitive FBQ Feedback Detection display.

When external processing is required, Behringer's SX Series provides extensive insert patch-points for input channels and main outputs. The mixer's Master section offers a wealth of features such as multiple aux and stereo returns, switchable SIP / PFL monitoring, Talkback, metering and more.

An internal auto-ranging power supply (100 240V), gold-plated XLR output connectors and rugged steel construction ensure that this EURODESK console will travel anywhere to tackle any recording or mixing task, with pristine audio quality and a minimum of external gear.

I would not purchase this mixer.I purchased this mixer in May 2012. The first one that was sent to me,channel 1 output didn't work.I purchased the extended warranty. Behringer is a difficult company to deal with. Even though the mixer was sent to me in that way, they didn't know if the warranty covered it. They finally agreed to send me another one, but I had to pay to ship the other one back first. Said I would receive the other one in 3-7 days. It took three weeks. Then find out the next one they sent me, the digital effects doesn't work. I sent behringer an email about the mixer I have now, but haven't got a reponse from them yet. The process that I had to go through with behringer, even though the mixer had a warranty, took three months. When someone purchase a defected product that has a warranty, you should be able to return that product in exchange for a new one or a refund. No questions asked. I'm thinking those mixers were refurbished mixers or returned mixers, not new ones, that was not checked out completely.

      Not that good

      By Lisa Wyatt

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

I would think twice before purchasing this mixer. Not only because of the quality, but also because of the customer support that you'll get from Behringer.
The features are nice when it come to playing live or studio recording.
The quality isn't so good. Had the mixer for 2 months and then two channels quit working. Shipped the mixer to Behringer for repair under the warranty because the 45 day return policy had passed. It's been at the Behringer service center for a month and hasn't been put on the list for repair yet.

      Endless Possibilities

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

Great product, could use higher quality components but you get what you pay for
This mixer is great for all scenerios, studio, live, etc. with plenty of routing options, 2 effects banks, 9 band eq, 4 bus channels, 2 aux channels. It'll handle any situation you throw at it.
Although this mixer has great features and cool led lighting, I tend to have dropouts on the mono out, and sometimes the control room switchable channels act up. It's never been something I haven't been able to correct on the spot though. Thanks to the endless routing capabilities, it's never left me hanging.
      Worth every penny

great flexability, dull vocals, useless FX

      By 3NV7-hMjMZ

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

I like the feed back detection, the 2 indenpendent monitor mixes, and the subgroups out. I like the overall design and functionality of the board. However, the vocals seem dull. I have A/B'ed this board with an older Peavey and an older Behringer board and it has the dullest vocals of the three. I have yet to find an effect that I like on this board. Ohter than that it's gravy.

      not half bad

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

i'm in charge of sound for assemblies and plays at my school so i've used this mixer a lot. overall, it's pretty good. the only problem is that its kinda broke physically because one time some little kids got a hold of it... yea you know the story. and it has too much reverb, but i found out how to work the FX thing on it. it would sound much better of we didnt have a 100% metal gym with terrible speakers :P. other than that, it has some feedback at times, but if ya know what ur doin, its good. i recommend getting this mixer as long as you have speakers good enough. it is unpowered, which is my problem, we run it through some mini stereo mixer. like 100 watts into 20 or somethin like that. and the hookups at my school are terrible. the xlr floor plugs always destroy the end of the cord if u dont stick a key in it then pull the cord out. thats cuz the little PUSH button is broken off. despite all the other problems, the mixer itself is pretty dang good.

      Look past bells and whistles...

      By Slow Shakey

      from Colorado Springs

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

I have owned three Behringer mixers over the past 7 years. The first one (UB1202) is still working fine. The second one (UB2442FX) has issues ( after about 1.5 years of service) of channels fading on the output side. This mixer I purchased as a refurbished unit so my expectations were low. Now we get to the Eurodesk SX2442FX. I have had this unit for 5 months, purchased new. The features and price point are hard to beat but I guess you get what you pay for. I now have a mixer with lots of features that really don't matter much since it can't do the basic thing a mixer is supposed to do. Collect signals from various sources and deliver to one or more outputs. The signal strength varies from channel to channel by as much as 16db. This is with the same signal input and all controls set at the same level. Yes, compensation can be made with the gain control but my experience with the UB2442FX has shown me that these fading channels only get worse over time. Bottom line is I would recommend looking past all the bells and whistles, spend some more money and stay away from Behringer mixers. I have not had any personal experience with any other brand but if Behringer fixes this mixer under warranty it will be on Craigslist and I will be shopping for another brand.

      So far, so good

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

Some of the initial reviews scared me off, but I bought one anyway. Everything feels pretty solid, there are some things that are good and bad:GOOD - 1 - Sweepable mids vs the smaller board hi mid and low mid eq's - 2 - Mic pres are better than the non-xenyx ones, but not as good as Mackie - 3 - Full soloing options are nice vs the smaller boards - 4 - Integrated power supply vs the old screw on line lumps.BAD - 1 - Onboard efx are hard wired post - 2 - No BNC light outlet, wtf? - 3 - Sub out, should have a crossover activation vs full range to the main and just a low pass to the sub out.All in all, you get what you pay for and this really isn't a bad board to get your through your woes. If you want great, pay for great. Otherwise, this is a good option.

Nice Price and value at the expense of Quality

      By SndEng

      from Minnesota

Comments about Behringer EURODESK SX2442FX Mixer:

As the title states, this product and similar products in Behringer's line-up offers awesome features and additional things at this very affordable price range. But I've learned the hard way and will not buy anymore products from this company unless their products dramatically improves in the next decade. I've owned 3 different unpowered mixers from these guys consecutively within one single month. The first one "SX2442FX" was returned for a replacement because no signal was achieved through any ports on it. The second replacement was required because 4 of the last channels 13-16 was not working in addition to the phantom power coming on automatically and staying on even when it was turned off. The third and last replacement had a number of problems, a few channels weren't responding, FX display was not functioning and displayed nothing, lastly after a week the total "Right side" main port gave out and nothing came out of there.Don't learn this the hard way, luckily this was our non-profit organization's money. After the third bad mixer, I purchased an Allen & Heath ZED-24, so far 8 months, no problems absolutely. Don't be fooled with the price, unfortunately at this day and age, you get what you pay for. Price reflects the quality of the parts, I don't truly blame this on Behringer, but the management that they hire to make decisions that can dramatically affect their customers trust.
