This is a Pro Quality board packed with Pro features - 5-pin XLR-out, Goose Neck Lamp socket, Complex programming section of chases & memories, storable memory in PCI Card. Lots of indicator lights and cool things like "extra channels" (a DMX ch 25 & 26 for things like foggers or on/off lights) etc... Solid construction and powder coat finish. Excellent Bang for the Buck!!! But... THIS IS NOT A BOARD FOR A BAND LOOKING TO PLUG IT IN AND HAVE JOE SHMOE TAG ALONG OFF THE STREET RUN YOUR LIGHTS - You need to read the manual and practice with it - seriously. If you try to wing first night at a show- you'll be left in the dark!

If you expect to pull this unit out of the box and get it working, forget it. If you expect to read half the manual and get it working, forget it. The manual and user interface is virtually useless until you take a lot of time and fully study the product inside and out. I cannot recommend this product to anyone unless they like studying badly-written tech manuals trying to figure out how things work, as opposed to getting down to the business of working lights.

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

Already had his product before and it lasted ten years before it started acting up. So for $20 a year I got another one. Not a bad deal

If you thought Behringer only made cheap products.

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

You would be correct again! I never write reviews and never thought I would but I have had enough! I will never buy another Behringer product period! With all the features this product had I thought maybe they finally made a great product. It felt well built and when it did work the features were cool. However,it never made it on stage because every time I would set a program it would jump out of the patch and just start flashing. I looked for a solution and found many people with the same problem that apparently Behringer has been aware of for a while now. Still they continue to sell this product. Shame on them! If your time is worth more to you than money find another light console. ANY other console!

Great with BCF2000 for LIght Jockey!!!

    By Healing Bear

    from Ashebille NC

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

I use Martin Light Jockey with the free software add on Faders(MIDI to DMX translator for 0-255 fader values from MIDI!!) with a BCF2000 MIDI to usb so that I can get into Light Jockey. I then serial link an LC2412 board from MIDI out to MIDI in on the BCF2000(also an inexpensive Berhinger gem!) which gives me a total of 39 faders and eight rotary encoders that are fully patchable @DMX in on Light Jockey or through the global patch. IF you use Light Jockey I strongly recommend you check this out. Best bang for your buck period!Peace from a controller freak.

A light board for small venue ballet

    By Dav C

    from Upstate NY

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

I've used this board for several choral concerts and small venue (story)ballet performances. There are so many features I'll probably never use & the manual goes into great detail about THOSE. However, I use it in the "THEATRE" mode*. (only 1/2 page in the book) *Basically, a 99 step, manually triggered, individually timed, Chase! Works well during programming and going forward. DOESN'T step back well! But,you can work around it's shortcomings. The combo analog / DMX outputs are great! One venue had 12 channels of analog Dove dimmers in-house. No prob driving. I added my own Chauvet DMX lighting to augment. I programmed show - teens ran it - worked fine! For cheap and dirty show control with combo analog & simple DMX - I'd recommend!

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

Great product for the money. Have had some problems with the board losing its memory. However I got a memory card and saved the info so if it happens again. Other than that I'm amazed at the the things this board will do.

Great piece. It would cost you $$$ more to get another controller to do what this can do. Hook up the FC1010 and you can control all your scenes with your foot! Great!

    Good but watch for This

    By Len_B

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

I had a ton of trouble with this controller at first. It wasn't working properly with the dimmers. Then I noticed that it seemed to be working backward. Up was dim, down was bright etc. I switched the + and - data streams in the 5 pin output and it worked great. It seems I am not the only person to have this problem with the Behringer light board. Still, a great deal in my opinion.

    Fantastic Board for the price

    By Martin-Mx.09

    from Longmont Colorado

Comments about Behringer Eurolight LC2412 24-Channel DMX Lighting Console:

This is a great board for the money. The rev 1 firmware on my board was a little quirky and the whole board is a little difficult to use, mostly because of the number of features packed in. I still feel that it's a great board FOR THE PRICE. I've had it 2 years now and it's worked well for me.
