I run sound for small to large events and needed some thing to delivers a heart pounding punch and it delivers that at a price that you cant beat. AWESOME SUB FOR A SMALL BUDGET! The only thing I dont like about this sub is its heavy and the carpeted wood box, but for the price and the very nice lows that it delivers you cant beat it.

These sound really great with my EP4000 But my complaint is that Behringer packages these subs very poor. Upon arrival from Musiciansfriend they were both crushed at the bottum of both boxes and the wood was coming apart.Musiciansfriend was very helpful in replaceing them but I had to wait about 3 weeks because they sent them through another carrier (ABF) and that set was good but on one sub I had to do some repairs do to the same problem but not as bad. I blame Behringer for a crappy packageing. Make sure you ask Musiciansfriend to double box if you order these.

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE VP1800S 1600W 18" Subwoofer:

I purchased 2 subs, 2 mains, and the mixer board.
I am totally pleased with Beringer products.
I did have a shipping problem. I also want to thank Musicians Friend, for taking care of everything immediately. And like they say, Beringer is a big bang for the buck. I love it.

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE VP1800S 1600W 18" Subwoofer:

Quality of box as expected, but speaker quality is what we were looking for in this particular item. We can always have encasing rebuilt later if easily torn up. (since made of cheaper materials on outside)

    It's a beast!!

    By Manolis K.

    from Greece

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE VP1800S 1600W 18" Subwoofer:

    Overall,
18" wooferLow priceFixed low pass filter
    Deep bass
Pole on the top to mount speakers

but, too heavy at about 45kilos.
It produces really DEEP bass! It features 2 speakon connectors without TRS.

(I would suggest to everyone to use Speakon connectors. TRS a.k.a Jack is not that safe for speakers. If negative and possitive connect together by mistake, which can happen easily with trs, bye bye amp)

Also, the 2 holes at the bottom helps a lot the woofer to move the air, which is important for a woofer because that's what needs to work correctly.
Really deep bass, 18" Woofer, Low-pass filter fixed at 150Hz. I own two of them and I use them with a Behringer EP4000 in parallel mode, connected on the Behringer FBQ1502 which has a special output for subs and has a knob to fix the frequency.
It's a very nice product, in a really low price

    BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Comments about Behringer EUROLIVE VP1800S 1600W 18" Subwoofer:

At first I hated this product because it wasnt what I thought I was buying. I typed "powered subwoofer", meaning self powered, and since this came up as a match I didnt really pay all that much attention to description of the woofer. This is not a powered subwoofer. Second, the description states it has low-z and speakon inputs. This is not so, it only has speakon inputs, which I was very lucky to have a spare laying around.

Now for the important part, the proformance. After discovering that it was not powered I had to figure out what to use for a power amp to push this beast. I had a old EMC 400 watt bass amp laying around and what do you know it was perfect. The woofer handles the 400 watts with the volume turned all the way up with ease, and it feels like it could handles much more. If you are looking for BOOMING bass I would highly recommend this woofer for the price and quality.
So at first I absolutly hated this thing for what it was not, but now I would part with it to save my life. Just be sure to get the speakon cable with it or you are going to be hurting when it makes it to your house.
