Exceptional Sound Quality
Capable of handling input levels up to 600 Watts, the EUROLIVE VS1220 PA loudspeaker delivers exceptional sound quality. The powerful 12" long-excursion driver cranks out big tone in the bottom end and mid-range, while the wave-guide mounted electro-dynamic HF (High-Frequency) drivers output crisp and detailed highs. The VS1220’s wide frequency bandwidth and extensive dynamic range make it ideal for a multitude of applications.
High-Impact Bass
In order to produce tight, deep bass, a loudspeaker has to move lots of air. EUROLIVE loudspeakers accomplish this by using powerful, long-excursion LF (Low Frequency) drivers that are handmade in Behringer's factory. While some companies are content to use “off-the-shelf” drivers, Behringer custom-designs each LF driver to perfectly match each application. The VS1220 features an extremely powerful 12" long-excursion LF driver in a tuned enclosure, providing rich, tight bass all the way down to 60Hz.
Crystal-Clear Highs
High-frequency content can easily make or break your performance. Too much and the sound becomes brittle and obnoxious, too little and it sounds muddy and poorly defined. VS1220's specially designed HF transducers, mounted in a proprietary elliptical wave-guide, deliver natural-sounding, high-end in an ultra-wide 80° x 40° sound dispersion pattern.
The VS1220 speaker has been optimized for maximum reliability through the integrated overload-protection circuitry, ensuring ultimate high-frequency driver protection. Designed to stand up to the rigors of the road, the VS1220 is built to look and sound great, even after years of rugged abuse.
Versatility
VS1220’s unique trapezoidal design makes it ideal for use in FOH (Front-of-House), as well as floor-wedge and side-fill monitor applications. Enclosures can be clustered, stacked, or even stand-mounted thanks to the built-in 35mm (1.375") pole socket.
The Technical Stuff
The VS1220 is capable of extremely high sound pressure levels (93dB full space 1W @ 1m) and provides a 60Hz to 20kHz frequency range. And at just under 38 lb. (17.1 kg), the VS1220 is supremely portable. The internal crossover point is fixed at 3.5kHz. Standard 1/4" TS connectors are provided.

I DJ on the side and ordered these. I am very happy with the purchase! They are light and durable, the handles are super sweet. On the sound quality, I think they are very good (sure, you can spend more and get better quality). But at the price, it's like spending the money for a Honda, but buying a Lexus! they can handle major power and hit pretty hard for some 12s I think. I have only really worked them out a handful of times, so we'll see how they do after a while, but I would definitely recommend them for sure!!

I got this speaker to be added to our system in a small church. We had two 10" phonic speakers and needed to dedicate one to be a monitor. We play contemporary music.
I noticed right away the superior low end sound compared to what we had before. With this speaker we can feel the bass not just hear it.
One the highs the speaker is weak. When playing recorded music it sounds a bit muffled. Fortunately I had a Pyle-Pro PAHT4 tweeter system I was not using. It improved the sound significantly, still I wish the speaker was better balanced and I did not had to add the tweeter box.
If I had to buy the speaker again I would go for the next model up.

This speaker is overall very bad. It has zero low end for a 12" woofer. Just tapping the mic lightly causes the woofer to distort and sound bad. The tweeter is not accurate and sounds harsh and doesn't clearly represent anything. This is what you can expect from such a cheap price. You've probably heard this a lot, but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

I have a pair of the plastic behringer 15 inch cabinets and then purchased these 12 inch carpeted cabinets. They are both great and I enjoy having them. They are unbeatable for the price as far as I am concerned. we use them for monitors during gigs and use them to practice with. I would even be willing to use my twelves as mains if we needed. Overall, they are a great buy. Don't even think twice about purchasing them.

Eyahhhh get them.
I've owned Behringer p.a.s for years. If they arrive working, chances are you can beat the heck out of them and they'll work.
The past Behringer speakers I've owned always had a nice tone to them. These sound so flat I wondered if the tweeters were even working. They were, but they're so low you can't hear the crispness.
I would pay up a little higher.
Also, they are sooooo heavy for the size/performance. Considering nowadays you can get ultralight Peavey's that just pump, for the weight, I felt like I just bought a pair of JBL's from 1975.
I highly recommend the 199 Behringer molded speakers. They kick butt and have the best high end.
by the way Behgriner works with Mackie on manufacturing.. that's why you might see the resemblance to Mackie in their newer stuff.
Well built. Heavy as heck for the size
Even though I don't like them, they'll be great for kids on a budget.

These speakers are a tremendous value for the money. They sound good, look good, and are rugged. For the money, these speakers are about the best you can get. Yes, there are much nicer speakers out there, and better sounding ones at that, but for the money, you can't beat these!
