Most of us here are musicians, not sound techs. So with that being said, we need to do our homework when researching a piece of equipment. You go buy a new guitar, drums whatever you're going to play on it first right? Well, we can't really do that with live equipment so much so knowing how the equipment works and what it is capable of is the first thing to consider. This mixer gets overall good reviews and it should for what it is. For the price you are getting a very nice mixer, with very quality effects and many other "need to have" pro features all in one package. Now the amplifier is not a powerhouse, but it will suit the needs for practice and smaller venues. If you combine that with the upgrade capabilities...it makes for a great starter package. My band uses this for mainly vocals and drums, but it can easily be expanded on latter in the future when we need more power. We now also have a 12 channel mixer to have for recording or other ideas. At practice we can run regular stereo power, at shows we need to run mono (daisy-chain our 2 8ohm cabs at 4ohms off the left channel). Not briged...that's different. Basically long story short, don't blame a good piece of equipment when puchasing an item that doesn't fullfill your needs. When added up, a mixer, eq, effects processor and practice amp...this is a great package at a nice price and has performed well for us...feedback eliminator, no humm, no problems. Set it up and use it properly and you will have a great system. I give it all around 4 stars. Also the only problems I had with this unit was how they labeled and decribed the power. Seems like they have changed that, it is now more realitic at 215 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

I bought the PMP 3000 with some 15" and 12" Euro speakers for my 4-14 piece swing band, and theme party business. It seemed to offer lots of power and features for the price. The first gig I used it on, it broke. Two channels stopped working altogether, and the piano channel cut out if you lowered the volume much. THERE IS NO WAY this thing is putting out 600 watts in the normal mode. It's about as loud as my old 20 year old 200 watt Crate system. They replaced it, no questions asked, but I'm selling the damn thing and getting something with the power I need that I can count on. The speakers work well, so far. I took a chance based on the recommendation of a friend who's had no problems with his Behringer gear. Even if the new board is reliable, it doesn't have the power they advertise. If you're playing large venues or outdoors, do not buy this mixer. It won't meet your needs.

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

We purchased this unit with a package deal from Musician's Friend over 2 years ago and has it ever performed. Don't know why some of the reviewers have problems but our unit will blow you out of the building. The features work great if you will read the manual and experiement a little. We have a blugrass/country show every Friday night and all I get is compliments about the great sound. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a good, quality mixer/amplifier.

About 5 years ago, my church had purchased one of these systems in a packaged deal. It has given us good power, enabling us to do outdoor concerts in our community. The built in Sound Fx machine, has also come in handy. We have not experience any problems with this system.

GOOD BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

After almost 5 months, the PMP3000 is performing wonderfully. Our quartet sings to tracks & from day 1 we have gotten nothing but good feedback about our system. We are pushing 2-B212XL's & 2-B215XL's while using SM86's & Beta 87a vocal mics. Other singers have used our system & the only comments have been to the effect of, "This really sounds good" or "Who do I need to talk to about that board"? We have been very pleased with the performance & have no reason to believe that the future is bright while using this unit. We should have no problem filling a 400 seat room but with the features of the PMP3000 I see no reason we can't just add to what we have & easily double that. Behringer has been a very good bang for my buck!

    Decent mixer

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

NO way this is 1200watts bridged @8ohms. Not like pro amps that ya pay 3-4 times the amount of this to get 1200watts. The mixer and power amp is very clean though. Great mixer for small venues and powers the crazy speaker set up this band I play with has, just fine. I have a set of Klipsch B-2 speakers at home that I hooked up to this amp. They are 8ohms 75watt nom with a 300wat max. This amp powers them insanely loud but I wouldn't mic a kit and run it through em. The rating for stereo is 300watts PEAK @8ohms and 600watts PEAK @ 4ohms. The truer listing of what this amp can do is 215w @ 8ohms (reason it sounds so great through my Klipsch speakers) and 450w @ 4ohms stereo and 900w mono bridged. I got that right from the manual. If doing small clubs this powered mixer will deliver plenty for you. Even mid size with a decent set of speakers. Run em at 4 ohms and you get more power. But with a large club this thing would be hurting. But with large clubs you run multi amps with crossovers anyway. So this way you have 1 amp already. Just toss in a second mixer to sub mix the drums and run the rest on this one. Have a second better amp for the lows and you are gonna be slammin'. You even use this to run the lows and have another cheaper amp on the highs/mids. I use to know a guy that ran a crown on the lows, a peavy on the mids, and his friggin home stereo power amp on the highs. Use to crack me up the awesome sound he got live.

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

Not being a sound guy I did alot of research & ask many questions. We decided on the PMP-3000 thinking it would be our best bang for the buck. The first time we set our system up, mics(SM-86 & Beta 87a), & speakers(B215XL & B212XL), took a grand total of 40 minutes. That was from out of the box to EQ. It was easy to make this system sound good. It has only been about five weeks but after setting up 8 or 10 times it has been VERY easy without any problems. We now have other singers asking us to set-up our equipment if we are at the same venues.

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

This powered mixer is an awesome mixer. Even though it says 1200 watt powered mixer, it's not. The mixer does not put out that much juice but it has awesome sound and a good punch for small venues. This mixer would be hurting if you did large venues or anything outside. The power is the only thing that keeps it from being a 5. The sound is awesome and clear when using a Shure Mic-SM58. I have this amp hooked directly to Yamaha S115V speakers. It has a nice punch when you want power but yet you'll want more for a concert of 500+. The sound effects are awesome and the controls are easy. I would recommend this Behringer mixer to anyone. This is probably the best for your money. For how low of price it is, it's an awesome mixer that you should consider.

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

I just bought this mixer, and it is overall very nice in terms of quality and features, but there is just no way in hell that it's 1200 watts. I had a Sunn 300 watt amp about 15 years ago that blew this thing away.I do not know how they calculate or justify the wattage that they claim, but I will say that I do not appreciate false advertising. At best, I would rate it at around 200 watts bridged on a GOOD day, with a strong wind behind it.I can't complain too much, because it is a nice piece of equipment for the overall price, but in terms of power... 1200 watts? -NOTTTTT !!! I will most likely have to buy a supplemental Crown power amp to give this thing some balls, and I am NOT happy about that. Now how much did this innexpensive mixer cost? You get what you pay for

    No Power

    By SpeakerOfTheHouse

    from Northern California

Comments about Behringer EUROPOWER PMP3000 12-Channel Powered Mixer:

Well, when I first purchased this mixer it was getting great reviews. Admittedly, the mixer is not ALL bad. Good value, fairly durable (fell off a stool onto concrete and kept working), decent FX processor. The problem is that it does NOT power as advertised. No matter how much I would crank the gain, my vocals could never cut through the mix of the guitars, causing me to holler and blow my voice out fairly often. I have 2 15" Behringer speakers and this thing was not pushing them nearly well enough. Now I had to dip in and bouth a nice strong QSC amp. Hopefully that will do the trick. If you need to push some serious volume, consider something different. If you're playing something less loud, this may be a good buy for you.
