I've used a Behringer 1002 for 3+ years. Initially purchased as a PC voiceover mixer for use with a condenser mic. I also plug in my bass pedalboard for play-along practice with recordings through the PC, plus a cable TV box, DVD player and Nakamichi cassette deck. No power switch, but top end studio consoles don't have a power switch either! The mic preamps are NOT "Invisible" since they hiss if you crank the pre-amp gain rotary mini-pots wide open, but the preamps are usable at sane gain levels and seem pretty flat, which is good. Has some headroom, which is also good since the 1002's VU LED metering is pretty hard to see, but with the big meter in the Adobe Audition software I don't need the LED's. I accept the limitations for the killer price to performance ratio. While not the best mixer in the world, the 1002 is just dandy for my home mixer needs.

I use this for a home studio mixer. I've had his mixer a little over a year (just beyond the warranty period) and the right main out stopped working. Headphone monitor works fine. I think the mains should last longer than a year.

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

This product was amazing. Light and compact. Perfect for connecting multiple devices! I Mobile DJ with this product and it works phenomenally! No problems that I can see with this product. Price seems a little high because there are no sliders on the volume levels of channels, but I look at the knobs and say "I cant accidentally bump a slider out of position!" Everything is sturdy and this product is worth getting!

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

I have it connected with its cousing the MXB1002 and it does its job. Behringer combines simplicity, quality, and inexprices to make a great line of equipment. Biggest let down is, there is no off button :(

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

This mixer is great for those just beginning with home project studios. It's very simple to use and understand. Took me a few minutes to learn what each knob effects. It's compact and light-weight if you're cramped for space. The only thing I don't like about this product is the lack of a power switch. Behringer is turning me into a life long customer.

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

I've used this for about 2 months now and I love it. The only thing I don't like is that they didn't give it an on/off switch! You have to unplug it or have it hooked up to something with a switch. It's really annoying. but the sound on this thing is great! I got it for two condenser mic's I have because it was the same price as 2 phantom power supplies. I'm glad I did! I have it ran into my computers stock sound card and then back to the board using the tape i/o's and have got great recording results. I also use it in the same way to do room recordings at shows and during practices. If you need a small board and don't have a lot of money buy this!

    Good Piece of Equipment

    By Vince Williams

    from Rocky Mount, N.C.

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

Very pleased with the great features and low price. Very pleased with the performance, as long as it lasted. The mic channels of my unit developed bad background noise after a couple of months' use. It was outside 45 day return period and to return it to Germany for warranty service would probably cost almost as much as I paid for it. I lost on this one.

Use it for my PC Project Studio. Got me a great multi-out sound card and now I'm in business! Mic quality could be better (if you don't already have a preamp)

Good Mixer but bad power supply

    By Luke-IKWbo

    from Chicago

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

I used the mixer and it worked well. Good quality sound. But...The power supply went bad and I got an annoying buzz. The power supply costs about the same as the mixer, so caveat Emptor. My advice....make sure it is plugged into a surge protector and don't leave it plugged in all the time. Things I should have done.

    No Going Wrong With This

    By Devon-vkD9z

    from Bronx, NY

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer:

I bought this as an upgrade over my regular 4-track cassette recorder that I had plugged up to my comp and recording program. I have yet to experience a problem with this mixer. I've been assembling a little studio on a budget and this was definitely key in bringing things together. I recommend this for anyone who would need a small mixer to get started on without setting you back.
