Just got this system and replaced it with a smaller version of the Behringer line, the UB1204FX Pro. It has 4 more features than the previous one, like the EQ, XPD 3D, Feedback Detention and Voice Canceller. I did have an inline 31 band EQ installed in it and didn't notice any difference in the audio articulation,so I removed it since it makes no sense in needed it with less space for it and replaced it with a compressor/gate unit. The audio sound quality coming out the mixer has really improved and the Ultra low noise headroom mic input is a plus. I really like the surround sound XPd 3D,but setting the correct depth on the control knob, you can hear a big difference in expansion, depth and attack and adjusting the FX's on the trim pot and other controls, you can dial it in to your personnel touch. By working with the FX DSP Processor, Plus the FBQ Feedback Detention System, it really works too, press the FBQ button, with the EQ (ON) and bring up the Main mix Faders slowly up and bang,it detects the correct EQ slider, with the 1-3 lights barely lited up on the EQ Detention slider of the EQ,just bring the slider down and your done, thats it.I've come to a conclusion, that for what I payed for on this mixer,It sure gives the higher cost brand names a run for their money and and more, you'll save, have great sounds and best of all,I'm really impressed and amazed in such a compact mixer..

I recently put together a basic sound system for a small church I've been attending lately. We were using my old Behringer UB1204FX temporarily until the Soundcraft EPM 8 came in. I recently installed the Soundcraft, and even through 15-year-old PA speakers, I could hear the difference. Great transparency. I hadn't realized how muddy the Behringer was until I heard the other mixer. The tone was better, and there was higher gain before feedback. The Soundcraft mixer doesn't have all the bells and whistles of this one, but it's a solid performer. Good build quality, and worth every penny. If you absolutely can't afford better, Behringer is better than nothing. But if you care about sound quality (and especially if recording), just say no to the cheapies, scrape together an extra $100, and get a Soundcraft EPM or EFX, or a Mackie.

    Mixer

    By Mario Leija

    from Laredo, Texas

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

I'm new to this, but I like it. It sounds clearer with the mixer. I connected it to my dual cd and amplified speakers and it sounds very good. I just hope it lasts. Just what I was looking for. Now I need to play (experiment) with it more so I can figure how to use the microphone without turning off the music entirely. I'm thinking about getting myself a wireless microphone and see how that goes. At first by looking at it, I thought it was going to be hard for me to use it because it looks very professional, but as it turned out I'm OK with it,.

    Gets 'er Done

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

Not top of the line, but if you need a back up PA or a small one for smaller venues, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. Combine with some powered 12's or 15's and your good to go.

    Very impressed

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

I got this for christmas as a gift from my father. I use it to record my band. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Everything works. None of the inputs make unwanted noise and the phantom power is great!

    Second one

    By Friendly Folk

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

This is my second one of this model. The first one lasted about two years, then one by one each channel started to cut out until four stopped working. I've had this one for about a year, so far, and have not had any trouble, yet. If this one fails as the first one did, I will not buy this brand again.

    ITS AVERAGE AT BEST

    By Recordingfreak

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

Not that Great of a live mixer. i don't see how you could use it in the studio or why you would for that matter since the preamps are not that great. i would not recomend buying this thing unless you are on a serious budget.

    Makes a Great Paperweight

    By Seth Easton-S4p2_

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

I was very impressed with this mixer at first -- great features, awesomely useful and high-quality effects (especially the lush, juicy reverbs), superb mic preamps, and so on. BUT, after about 6 months of use, the faders started crackling, and after a while one of the mic channels became useless. No problem - there are plenty of other channels. Guess what? They start going bad too. This kept happening and now 2 mic and 3 line channels have bad crackling and noise. In addition, the on-board effects processor started to have some really bad feedback problems and would just incessantly click until it "warmed up" for about an 30 minutes. This thing now sits in my closet collecting dust. I understand you get what you pay for, but this is unacceptable. I will not be purchasing Behringer products any more.

    Great product

    By Torea

    from Bay Area CA

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

I bought this product so that as my recording needs grew, I would have more inputs, going from 2 XLR ins on my Firebox to 6 ins on this. I love the sliders, they're very sensitive and easy to move and control. I haven't toyed with the effects very much but they seemed easy enough to use. Overall, great product =) I'm quite satisfied.

    'Stud'io MUST

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

Now this mixer is the real deal.. I use it in my home studio. As others have said, theres been hum? I'm sorry for them, because there in none in mine.. Plus this is the lease expensive six mic channel mixer in the market. I'll tell why thats awesome: You look awesome, with out going overboard. You could get a 4 mic channel one for cheaper... BUT getiing this one you look like a studio stud. Its the big side, so you do look professional. Don't get me wrong, apearences should never be a reason to buy audio equipment, but still. I would be lieing if I said I didnt take that into account.. =D haha.. Anyways, overall OUTSTOUNDING mixer... The 7 band EQ is a life saver when recording guitar. Sliders are awesome.. I'm still working on the efects though.. But thats not why I got this mixer. ANY home studio producer NEEDS this peice of highly tuned porfession STUDio equipment.... =D

    Good Mixer for a Budget

    By MusicIsmylife

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

I am a music hobbyist since I was like 5 or 6yo. And got only involved with sound equipment since late 80's until now. I am singer and instrumentalist. I am using this mixer mostly in my home session recording and I have no problem at all. I have read many negative comments and for me, If you only know what you are doing and know how to play set up with this little simple monster I guaranteed that you will be satisfied. But I agree that if you want a real-heavy quality one. well prepare a big budget.

    Buy a Mackie

    By Styles

    from Florida

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX-PRO Mixer:

Wow crap right out of the box! Low quality mixer with a too much. FX sound good. The mic levels must be defective as I can't get a good level without clipping. Some other weird noises on line level thru a PC's Sound card. I am sending this in for a repair as it cannot be this bad and it was new and used it only 5 times.
