I've owned this mixer for over a year now. It has no problems with sound and it's still fully functioning. You MUST handle this mixer carefully though. Always ALWAYS turn the volumes all the way down before plugging the power in or out. I think this is also stated in the manual.Funny thing is that this thing has fallen off of desks and tables to hit cement, wooden floors, concrete and yet did not have any problems with sound, just a few scratches on the mixboard.Make sure you keep the power adapter as far away from the mixer as you can when you're recording because the hiss the mics and mixer picks up from the adapter is absolutely horrible.I really like the Pre-Amp gain on this, it will help out when it comes to amplifying without the hiss that comes from the mixer itself.Overall, this mixer is perfect for amateur and semi-pro recording/shows/musicians.Buy it. It will always come in useful no matter what your situation is.

I had heard that Markbass was outsourcing some of their gear to be built in Indonesia. I called MF and was told that this particular head, per the information provided by MarkBass, had a country of origin of Italy. I was pleased and placed the order.

A few days later, I got the package and looked on the back. Designed in Italy MANUFACTURED in Indonesia. Very sneaky MarkBass. This may not bother some people, but I don't agree with paying full price for an outsourced head.

To MF's credit, they took the return with no questions asked. Make no mistake, this still may be a great head. I give one star to MarkBass for them trying to trick their customers by supplying incorrect 'country of origin' information to MF. If you don't care about an Indonesian made product, I'm sure it is fine. I own many Italian made MB cabs, heads and accessories, and don't aim to mar my collection.

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

I got this to interface my mics and instruments to my computer. It does that very well. It has XLR, 1/4 INCH TRS and RCA inputs. It has 1/4 inch TRS and RCA outputs. It has phantom power for condenser mics and a preamp for dynamic mics.

So, I hooked up a couple if mics to mic my acoustic guitar, and also ran the pickup in the guitar through the mixer. Blended all three inputs and got a sound much better than I could have gotten with just a mic or just the guitar pickup alone.

I use the RCA tape recorder outputs to go to the line in of my computer soundcard with a stereo RCA to 1/8 inch stereo TRS cable.

With effects send and return, multiple inputs and outputs and phantom power, you just can't go wrong for simple projects.

It is small, It's light, and very versatile.

    I love it

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

I used my first Eurorack for years and years. . .never a single problem. I replaced it after it developed a low hum (I think the power adapter was the problem). . .I just bought the new version which is lighter. I run a fiddle, mandolin, sometimes guitar into it then run a left channel to the PA. never a problem.

I bought this to use with my video camera to mix the announcer audio and the race track sound. Works well, little touchy on low settings. But sounds great ounce its set.

      This one is just right

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

This is perfect for a light duo and packs right away in the front of a guitar gig bag. I had heard there were some noise issues beyond 12 o'clock, but I have no need to push that hard and it certainly sounds clean at low volumes. It would have been nice to have a couple of sliders for at least the mains and monitors, but that is a small issue. The controls seem solid and the pots substantial.

The power cord has a cheesy end connection and with most electronics finally moving to interchangeable/universal power cords this is like a blast back to the early 80's when you had no choice except to buy replacements from the manufacturer.

      JUNK that dies

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

This is the last Behringer I will ever buy. The thing worked for 57 days, then quit altogether, no power, no sound. Thanks to MF for letting me swap this junk out for a Peavy.

      Great Home Mixer

      By Ardiril

      from Seattle

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

What impresses me the most about this mixer is its response. Small adjustments to gains and eq settings are easy even for my big and arthritic fingers. I need a small control center for the analog side of my instruments and this mixer gives me that. With a mono FX send and a stereo return, this box meets the minimum requirements to be called a mixer. I use it primarily for every-day messing around - practicing, writing, jamming to beats. I have inputs for my Vox ToneLab, a synth and my computer, as well as phantom power and inputs for my stereo microphone. For output, I have it connected to two separate pairs of monitors and my choice of wireless or regular headphones. I also have a dedicated line out to a compact digital recorder. For the most part, everything is live; I just have to increase or decrease the volumes. This unit is not noise-free, however significant noise does not begin until at least two knobs in a chain go past 2:00. Even when playing modern metal, I rarely need to push any knob beyond 11:00. If you let this mixer mix and your power amps amp, you will not have a noise issue. I would give this a 10, but I have not A-B tested this mixer and I suspect it adds some color. The 9 reflects how little I think that is.The best $ I ever spent on gear. This unit's only fault is its lack of a power switch. Ordinarily I would not consider that a big problem, except for the big bright blue LED that is enough to light a medium-sized bedroom.

      One Tough little Monster

Comments about Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer:

I run a mobile DJ service and have had this little beast for about four years. I run a computer and CD and one microphone through this on the average of 3 nights a week. Dust, rain and the occasional beer on this and it keeps pushing. But after 4 years the plugs are getting a little lose but who cares---It has paid for itself. People laugh at how small it is, and then they comment on how good everything sounded This is the brain going to a Behringer EQ and 3 QSC 1450 amps and 6 Peavey 215 stacks. Little booger makes all that sound great. So I'm going to get another, for the price maybe 2. But you can't go wrong.
