OVERVIEW

An ultra-lightweight, high-density 3000-watt power amplifier.

The iNUKE NU3000, like the rest of the iNUKE Series power amplifiers, packs massive amounts of output power into an exceptionally lightweight, rackmountable package. Behringer's revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures this feather-light powerhouse will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

Superb transient response
Behringer spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of the circuitry, this amp reacts instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses.

When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with Behringer's state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, this amplifiers= provides tremendous punch. And, because it is so much more efficient than conventional designs, it runs cooler and doesn't require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with other conventional counterparts.

Sublimely simple operation
The front panel controls and indicators provide your system's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors making the iNUKE NU3000 compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you'll find the switches that enable iNUKE amps to work in either dual mono, stereo or mono bridge mode. A built-in CROSSOVER switch enables the amp to operate in bi-amp mode, sending low frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high-frequency output is channeled to full-range loudspeakers (CH1>100 Hz / CH2<100 Hz or FULLRANGE). Flick the LIMITER ON/OFF switch to activate the built-in overload protection, or turn it off if you're feeling lucky.

Just being stingy/conservative. Outside of carbon-fiber, I don't know if you could make it simultaneouly light and stronger.
I bought one of these about 7 months ago to replace a Crown 20002XTi which I bought to replace a Carvin DCM monitor amp. I wanted the DSP because it seems to be impossible to buy a "monitor" power amp with eq, like the Carvin amp had. The Crown didn't work out---only XLR inputs (not good for accepting Monitor/Aux Send signals), and the DSP could only be adjusted via computer (with the USB located inconveniently in the rear). I tried the iNuke and, even without the DSP, loud and noiseless. I replaced the FOH poweramp (again, a Carvin) with a second unit. Loud, clear and noiseless---we cranked the amps to max and no hiss! I have some other Behringer Class-D stuff and none of it has failed. Some have said that power ratings are hyped---maybe so, but the iNuke3000 is easily louder than the Carvin DCM1200 and DCM1000 it replaced, and easily louder than the XTi2002, for less $$$. Oh, did I mention that 65 lb of Carvin is now only about 16 lb of Behringer? They sound fine and have useful DSP features, accessible from the front panel. I no longer need to use my EV XP200a system controller with my EV speakers because I can set slope filters in the iNukes to prevent over-excursion of full-range woofers and more accurately controll the subs. The dynamic eq option is another neat feature. All in all, they iNukes have simplified setup and transport with increased output capabilities---and with discounts-specials-coupons, all at bargain prices.

Of course, I'm old-school power amps (my VHT is worth carrying every sweatty pound), so I keep my fingers crossed---but, over the years, I've had either inherent or operator-induced failures from Carvin, Peavey, QSC, Yamaha and Mackie (as far back as Phase Linear and Marrantz)! So, with racking and normal care and operation---we'll see.

The included "manual" sucks---like the rest of the current crop of Behringer m"manuals", it's a multilinguallly confusing mess of a quick-start guide. Have a highlighter handy. The promised "technical manual" is yet to materialize. Download and run the free iNuke DSP software, even if you're not connected to an amp---it will show you and let you play with the options, features and parameters that are available on the amp. It will make a learning how to set things from the front panel of the amp a little more comprehensible.
Plastic fascia, so it lives in a SKB rack, tapped into an ISObar power conditioner. The sun at a couple of outside gigs didn't melt it or hinder it's operation. 7 months of trouble-free operation so far. Software is small (a good thing), intuitive, and quick---for PC. I don't know about Apple. A phone app would be killer.
Price/weight, price/power, price/sound/ and price/noise ratios are all just great. If the dependability is there, these things will be all over the place.

They stil need to figure out how to make the life on them good
I got a new one took it out of box after everyone told me not to get it that this brand doesnt last n I did anyways. So put it in my rack and hooked it up it sounded good and everyones said man i am suprized they are way better then what they use to be and we was playing n 20min later it goes out. We all looked at eack other yea they are still the same like years ago work for a few and stop. So i wouldnt waste my money i would spend alittle more and get a good one orless you can buy a lot of them for extras for backup or you will be stuck in a few min. Of a show
Sound good for a few min. Until they go out
Wouldnt waste my money again wish i could grt my money back for my new that i got to use for20min.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

We used the amp only once at the Oktoberfest. Three bands used it. It worked just as advertized. However, either Behringer or Musiciansfriend, don't bother to read their own site. In the description they say to turn," on the limiter, or turn it off if you feel lucky." They simply don't know their product, there is NO LIMITER SWITCH, I am holding the owners manual, and nowhere is the LIMITER SWITCH mentioned. There are three switches, On/OFF, Bridge/mono/stereo, and Ch-1/Ch-2 crossover. I like Behringer products, they have never let me down, usually great value and support. Lately, this like many other products lack a good owner/operator manual. They should proof read their literature before they place it on any website. Here are their words.

Flick the LIMITER ON/OFF switch to activate the built-in overload protection, or turn it off if youre feeling lucky.

Maybe Behringer owes me a limiter switch ?
This amp has what all it's competitors have, you can bridge the amp, or bi-amp, mono or stereo. Really nice light weight amp.

Hey Behringer, SHOW ME THE LIMITER SWITCH.
It's new and it works. Anything less would be news.
I have not A/B'd this amp with other brands or models. For the price it appears you get more power for the money.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

I purchased this amp to power my sub woofers. I run mono subs.

With 2 cabinets each with 18" drivers @ 8 ohms when run parallel you get a 4 ohm total. The amp will produce 3,000 watts bridged mono @ 4 ohms.

I used it for the first time at a gig and the subs were THUMPING! The amp ran cool all night long and there was zero distortion. I had plenty of headroom as opposed to the old Peavey CS800x that this amp replaced.

This was a level 3 used amp and the problems were all cosmetic. It has scratch on the case (big deal) and a bent rack mount tab which I fixed with a pair of pliers.

The class D amp is VERY quiet producing almost NO white noise at idle.

Many people speak ill of Behringer products but this amp is well worth the money.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

I bought this to start replacing my old heavy's I have. Run a straight forward DJ show just to break in and see if it got hot. I ran 4 ohms per side and ended up pushing till they were just bumping the clip lights....amazzing thing after all that no heat none totally strange to me but love it. The light wieght is a back saver for sure.I seem to get a feel for some reason that it just did not put out as much as the ep-2500's in the rack but what it put out was clean. This week end I am going to run it on one side of the subs with an ep-2500 on the other set of subs both to 4 ohms bridged crossed over at 120 or so depending on how the room kicks. So far Class D amps are the BOMB!!!! I expect not much of an issue. I know some folks hate behringer but they seem to hold up for me and sound good. Just don't over drive them at all if you need more power add more amps and keep the signal clean.

Don't let a past experience color your experience

    By Marc Bowyer

    from St. Louis, MO

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

People were stunned when Behringer purchased Klark Teknik/Midas...

Everyone thought "either Klark with go downhill or Behringer will be unstoppable." I think the latter is the case.

Now all said and done, if money weren't an issue...I would probably buy Crown or QSC. However, I live in the real world and not a hypothetical one. This is probably the best purchase I've every made when it comes to sound gear. I'm gonna buy 1 more of these and 2 of the 4 channel iNukes as soon as possible. I can't wait until the X32 is out.
It would be nice to have additional crossover options.
1st of all, the day I got these it was 100 plus degrees in August Missouri heat. I almost threw the box in the air, even though I knew they were so light from the website, it still suprised me how light they actually were. I immediately opened one amp. It was hot to the touch from sitting by my door in the sun where UPS placed it. I plugged it in, turned it on and in literally 30 seconds...it was cold. The weight and air flow design are amazing.

2nd, I have 5 of these in a rolling 14 space rack with a Behringer crossover and input/output patch panels. I was doing a gig at a casino/hotel in STL and had our gear on their loading dock. I went to get my van to load and when I returned, the rack had rolled over the edge and had dropped 5 feet off the dock. EVERY AMP STILL WORKS!
I normally order online. The day I called, the NU3000 were on special. I bought 5. 15,000 Watts. Would you consider that a good value?

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

I've been using this amp for 6 months now, and I am very pleased with my purchase!

I run 2x Behringer 18" VP1800S Subs. I use the amp in bridge mode with an external crossover. The amp will not run in bridge mode with the internal crossover. For whatever reason, it doesn't work in bridge mode. (see my review below)

If you are thinking about getting the iNuke NU6000 to push your speakers harder, here's my opinion. That amp is really just 2 3000 watt amps that cannot be bridged. Yes, you heard that right, it can't be bridged. But if you are running 4x sub, the 6000 will be great, because you are still pushing out 3000 watts per side at 4 ohms. Just a word to the wise.

It's a great amp for my application, and if yours is similar, you will love this amp to!

I could be like the rest and say i wasn't expecting this kind of quality from this company but because I have perchased many behringer items I expect quality from them because that is always what i get. I have sold all my heavy amps( qsc 5500 75lb )and many others and am replacing them with these light weight amps. They sound fantastic with plenty of power and when it's time to lift the rack my friends don't disapear anymore, excelent. Thank you behringer. Heavy amp owners better sell before they are not worth anything, who wants to lift 50lb when you can have 7lb that does the same thing for less.

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

We've been using this amp to run guitar, bass, and vocals through, and it's performed flawlessly. We run the main speakers off of channel 1 and monitors off channel 2, both in crossover mode. The volume knobs are set to about 10 o'clock which produces more than enough volume, At the lasthe last outdor gig we had turned up louder to send sound up and down the street to draw in people, and after an hour or so were asked to turn down. It was evening and the neighborhood near the gig was being affected. So, bottom line - pleant of power. As we don't really know how this amp will hold up, we did buy a 2nd one for backup in case of failure.
remains to be seen how the plastic front and light case will hold up to steady moving around
excellent value - good power with reasonable price

Comments about Behringer iNUKE NU3000 Power Amp:

We switched over from a powered PV1212 (1200 watt 12ch) mixer to a complete behringer setup. 18ch mixer, iNuke 6000 for subs, and this iNuke nu3000 for our speakers all in a 4unit slant too box. The whole setup is relatively light for what you get! One persons can carry it, and at the efficiency these things run, you can power the whole 9000 watt system off a regular outlet. If you're starting from scratch, I would advise looking into 4ohm components for more power. We already have 4 high quality 8ohm speaker cabinets, so we just use them. This amp still outperforms the 1212 which is actually only 360watts x 2 @8ohms in stereo. This amp produces 440watts x 2 @8ohms and pairs with our speakers. If we were to switch to 4ohm speakers we would be getting double power. Previously we used only powered subwoofers, but now we can run 4-1500 watt 4ohm subs on this rig which is plenty for most of our gigs. The amazing thing is all this sound can be produced by our small, quiet 2200 watt generator and more bass can be added by powered subwoofers if needed. Loving it! Behringer is great as long as it lasts. Haven't had his setup long, so we'll see
