Highly flexible with digital and analog control modes.

The Behringer LD6230 EUROLIGHT dimmer pack is a high-end 6-channel DMX/analog controller with functions ideal for TV studios and other fixed installations. You can control it either digitally using its DMX512 interface or with analog control by using the additional 8-pole DIN connector. The Behringer LD6230 dimmer features an adjustable preheat and limiter function for prolonging light bulb life. Various transmission characteristics of the control signals from the lighting console are made possible with its precise curve function. The Behringer LD6230 dimmer pack features a switch option that allows a simple on/off control of each channel. An automatic digital input check detects DMX signal errors. When in manual mode, dimming the lights can be done even without an external lighting console. The Behringer Eurolight dimmer's autostore function saves all settings after leaving configuration mode. The Behringer EUROLIGHT lighting dimmer pack features a 3-digit display and dedicated control LEDs as well as HARTING and CEE connection options (connectors not included).

NOTE: connectors are not included. Behringer recommends that connections be made by experienced lighting techs or electricians.

The dimmer's DMX out is a 5-pin (European-style) type and requires a 5-pin to 3-pin adapter (not included).

should have saved my money and purchased more reliable products.

too many features crammed in to a cheap unit

purchased 9 units and only 3 are functional.

price would be great if the product worked.           i have 6 units that all have different issues.

Being a licensed electrician, I had no problems connecting this unit.  It seems to be built well, and it definitely runs smoothly.   I would recommend this unit to anyone who is, or knows, an electrician.

Features overshadowed by Problems

Behringer products are characterized by an abundance of features at a incredibily low cost. Such was the promise of the LD6230. Unfortunately, the lack of an output connector panel, or even the option to buy one, severely limits the average user to make use of the product. In addition, Behringer's insistence that the user rely on a "licensed electrician" to wire the unit, even to the point of refusing to give hookup information over their tech support line, leaves users in the lurch. Who's going to pay an electrician $65-$70 to hookup a this inexpensive unit and how will he know how to hook it up if Behringer won't give out the info? Should these problems be solved, it would live up to its great promise.
