This is a great mixer for the type of music we play(bluegrass) Being a traditional bluegrass band we don't need or want anything too fancy just the basics. This unit has quite a few advanced features along with plain useability! With the 400 watt output it seems to handle anything in our line of music we throw at it. The mic pre's seems plenty quite enough and have sufficent gain and the Eq is more than ample for what we do with it. I believe the only thing I would have done different if I designed the unit would have been to make phantom power available on a per channel basis..Would be handy if you had a mix of dynamic and condenser mics but fortunately we do not have that mix.We have drove it fairly hard and it never shows any signs of over heating..stays cool in the rear. Behringer and this site always provide quality products and affordable pricing and this mixer is no exception. If you are in need of a mono mixer with a small foot print and ample power this choice I can recommend!

We have used this mixer for about two years for weekly jam sessions. It is never moved. The features that we like best are the fact that it has an EQ on each channel and feedback control is great for monitor control. The output power is good for our rather large venue. After the first six months of use one of the pad switches dropped out of the font panel. A year later the monitor channel lost volume and ultimately failed ... a big problem. The unit has been in the shop for about a month and the tech has been unable to locate the cause for our latest problem. It seems that the circuit board is attached directly to the front panel making it very time consuming to disassemble and repair. Also the "Speak-on" output connectors only add to the cost without a great deal of benefit. Previously we had a Peavey mixer-amp which only required repair twice in fifteen years. Save your money and buy a Peavey!

Bleah!

By Gforce

from Chicago Suburbs

We bought four of these to replace our aging powered mixers that we use for karaoke shows. One was DOA. Another failed about a month later. Right now we have one still in service. One thing we found was if you store these in a cold garage in the winter it gets condensation on the inside and shorts out. But considering after two years only one out of four is working, I say stay away from this model. We also have 2 PMH2000 and one PMH3000 which have been flawless from day one. Great features and great value. I do like Behringer products but their cheap ones are exactly that...cheap! The phm660's are their bottom end powered mixers for a reason.

Very Nice

I?ve had this mixer for about 2 months now and have played 2 shows with it. 2 weeks in the 1/4 inch second channel broke, but there?s still like 10 more. The effects are pretty cool, I mostly just use delay. You should really have some fairly decent speakers with this amp because it takes a while to figure out all the levels so you don?t get feedback, but the Feedback detection is really cool and works quite well. This also has plenty of power; I play in a metal and indie rock band and have never had to push this thing past level 7 to be heard. I run a couple of Gemini 15's with it. No complaints, other than the speak on cables are a hassle to find, do yourself a favor and just buy them.

Issues??

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

i got this with a package deal wth 2 behringer b1220 speakers , it works well wen it works! but its has givein me some issues. for example the monitor section is far louder than the main section wen both masters are set at the same level with 2-track cd/tape input used also set at same level , i once used it with a power lead with the earth pin lifted and got quite a decent shock off it more than once. it leaks about a 80v to earth @ about 30ma at any one time so it cant be used with a R.C.D protected power supply (scary!). it is however quite a powerfull little amp and i dont regret buying it

You get what you pay for...

The mixer can obtain a very good volume if setup properly... NOTE: YOU MUST USE SPEAKON CABLES TO RECEIVE ANY VOLUME. At first I thought my mixer was broken, but really, all you need are speak on cables to access the potential of this thing. Otherwise, using a 1/4 inch connector speaker cable will produce sound that won't be able to be heard over a band.

Top Shelf Sound Equipment

By Mr. Dirty

from Florence, NJ

When I bought this product I was only buying it for the cost, but when I used it I instantly became a Behringer user fully. My band now uses only Behringer, Tama, Ibenez, Sabian, and Shure products. This is definately the best P.A. I have ever used. The only downfall is that if you dont have Speakon cables you need to use a preamp. I highly recommend this item to anyone.

I would give it 11 stars

This is about the best you can buy for the money. I looked at other products and nothing came close to this product in value or quality. The effects work pretty good. You can only use one effect at a time and you decide if you want it on each channel or not. But the reverb's and chorus's sound pretty good. It does have a test tone which is convenient. The only thing I wish it listed is that it only has speakon outs for the mains. I had to buy adapters. I run it through the Eurolive 12's (also speakon only) and it makes for a great package. But overall this is a great product. It sounds great is easy to carry and pack a punch. Like I said in my title I would give it 11's if I could.

Behringer PMH660M

By Bama

from Coffeyville, KS

This would be a great amp if it would work like it is suppose to. It is lightweight and has great features for a small mixer amp, but I have had nothing but problems with power output. I get pops, snaps, and output breaks. My wife and I use it for a traveling music show, and it is very embarrassing to be cut off in the middle of a song several times a night.
