Bought this box for our church worship team about a year ago. Absolutely no problems, excess noise, or issues with the use. We run accoustic and electric guitars, bass, electric violin, and keyboard through it. The pad, boost, and ground lift are absolutely necessary and work great! We do get some 60hZ hum but that's not the DI's fault but a ground issue with our sanctuary. The box is a bit "light" and the buttons are small and stick out. I'd hate to see what would happen if it got dropped or dropped on.

I  bought the Behringer Ultra-di pro DI800 for the church because of the price and because it had 8 direct boxes built in. But when I took it to church and hooked it up the HISS & BUZZ comming out of the speakers was so LOUD that we could not use it. I tried lifting yhe grounds on all channels, there was no change. We are running stereo keys 4-guitars electronic drums and ALL channels where noisey.Had to take it back and bought 8 live wire direct boxes, paid a little more money but it was worth it. NO MORE BUZZ or HISS!!!!!!!!! P.S. I buy a lot of Behringer gear and this is the first time I have ever had a problem.

We have used this direct box in our church for over a year now. we run bass, 3 guitars, electronic drums and keyboards through it to the snake and then to the mixer. It has worked exceptionally well, no noise, no problems. I can't say how road worthy it is, as ours never moves, but it has certainly done the job for us for a great price.

Bought this about two years ago.  It developed a very bad grounding hum after about 7 months.  So bad so that it cannot be used for anything.  We bought this for our youth group, which was on a tight budget, and was taken very good care of because we couldn't afford a replacement.  We bought several pieces of equipment from Behringer, this is the only one we had any problems with.

I use the DI-800 for my recording studio.  I was a bit apprehensive since behringer can be hit and miss with their products.  But for the price I decided to give it a try!  The reason for me selecting the DI-800 is I use an eight bus recording console into a DAW using Nuendo3.  Since being limited to eight busses, I thought "wouldn't it be great to have a bus quality output from the channel's direct out (Studio Master Mixdown CLassic 8 - 32 channel).  The mixdown classic 8 direct out has a much lower signal out of the direct out vs. the bus out.  This prompted me to do a product search on a DI rack-mountable box with a gain boost.  The DI-800 has delivered beautifully with no noticeable noise increase or attenuation of signal highs.  It was a total shock to me that such an inexpensive product could deliver such incredible return!  I didn't know how to act when the unit totally surpassed my expectations! If you find yourself having the same "8 busses is just not enough" hurdles when recording live bands in your studio, I totally recommend this unit.  I hope you have the same success I have with this almost priceless unit!
