I've had this Behringer MX882 for about 4 months now, and it does everything I hoped it to do. I use it as a drum sub-mix for quick live recordings. I haven't had any problems with noise. Just remember if you're hooking mics to this, you'll need a mic preamp! Hooked after the Behringer Quad Expander and a Nady PRA-8 Mic Pre get's the job done.2 bad things about this is a lack of any sort of EQ, which I guess shouldn't surprise me since it's for keys, and connectivity is a little weird. XLR outputs as the only outputs on a mixer? Be prepared to make your own patchbay! Overall, I'm happy to mix my drums down with this. It get's the job done, and for the price, it's amazing!

I purchased the MX882 to use as a combination on-stage monitor mixer and to control the level of my keyboard out to the FOH. After about one month, the left output channel started having problems - there would be no output until the gain was cranked all the way up, then I could turn it back down again. I lived with this for about six months as it got progressively worse. At that point the channel pan pots started making noise. I purchased a new one about a week ago. I tested it in my home studio before putting it my gig rack. Not only did it have the same issue, but the complete output channel (L+R) had barely any signal. Cheap, but not worth the hassle. I'm getting a better quality item that I can rely on on-stage.

Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
I have two of these that I use as line-level mixers and they work great. Note that you will not be able to add instrument/mic-level signals to the mix so a preamp button would be a great addition to the design.
Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
I bought two of these and will be selling both. I have 3 types of mixers... these, a Behringer UB802 and an Allen & Heath MixWizard. I bought the MX882's to be able to avoid the big MixWizard for small setups but by process of elimination, determined this and the UB802 both introduce significant noise to my live mix, limiting the volume I can achieve to unreasonably low levels.

Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
It lasted a couple of years in the rack unit of a conference room, after which the split/mix switches began to fail. You have to jiggle them to get the signal to stay. Opened it to see if it's repairable, but nothing is accessible. Fortunately, it's so inexpensive I'll toss it and buy a new one- probably another brand.
Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
I always hated daisy chaining effects. Pumping one sound through another always seemed to loose something. With this little sweetheart you can layer your effects, and get what each effect was designed to give. As far as noise goes, I never had a problem. Sure, it could use a tweak or two depending on who you are. What gadgit doesn't? But come on, it's a 99 buck unit!
Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
The thing does exactly what they say it will. I use it to split my instrument signal and parallel my effects boxes back to a mixer. Eliminateing the daisy chain means I can control each effect without affecting the downstream boxes. I'ed give it a 5 across the board, but 6 of the 8 channels are XLR only, and the other 2 are 1/4" only. So one way or another you have to buy adapters. Fortunetely it is a one time expense. I think it's well worth the price.
Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
6 Channels almost isn't enough for this little tool that accomplishes so much in a little package. Just 1 RU and it doesn't get really hot so it doesn't add to the temperature of the rack when used long-term in the studio. I have installed many of these and it does the trick every time. I am really impressed with the amount of head room it has when set up and in action. For the money.....You can't beat it!!!

The Ultralink Pro MX882 is a great concept, but so noisy that it is useless. Routing signal through the 6 inputs and main doubles the noise. Buy something else.
Comments about Behringer ULTRALINK PRO MX882:
A little noisy for sub mix on vocals.
