OVERVIEW

Complete system for music, announcing, comedy, and other applications.

Presenting a better way to reach your audience, and an easier way to carry and set up your PA.The BOSE L1 Model 1S (L1 M1S) system combines the portability of the L1 Compact system with the performanceof the L1 Model II system, plus you get the B2 bass module.

L1 Model 1S (L1 M1S) System
It is engineered with an articulated line array to deliver 180-degree coverage for audiences of up to 300. This12-speaker line array produces consistent tonal balance throughout the venue with less drop-off in SPL over distance than conventional loudspeakers. It consists of only four lightweight pieces, so it's easy to carry and sets up and breaks down in minutes. The materials are specifically constructed to meet the travel and performance demandsof solo musicians, mobile DJs, bands and general PA applications. The L1 Model 1S system can be configured to a performer's preference with the B2 bass module for greater output. In addition, the integrated ToneMatch port provides a single cable digital connection to the optional ToneMatch audio engine, which maintains the tone of specific instruments and microphones. Focus more on your music and less on your gear, with the L1 Model 1S system from BOSE.

B2 Bass Module
The BOSE B2 bass module is a high-performance flexible bass solution designed for L1 Model 1S and Model II systems. It features two 10" high-excursion woofers mounted into a rugged enclosure.

For additional flexibility, the B2 includes a rear panel switch that allows for higher or lower bass levels to be selected based on application or personal preference. Proprietary BOSE technology in the L1 systems automatically senses the switch position of the B2 and provides the proper equalization and power. Interlocking end caps allow up to two B2 modules to be stacked together. Includes protective slip cover and NL4 cable.

Applications include educational and business uses, such as announcements, presentations and training demonstrations for up to 300 people. It is also useful in portable applications within houses of worship, sporting events and many other instances where a PA and bass are required.

The B2 bass module is also ideal for musicians and DJs that require higher bass output and impact. Both will benefit from the flexibility of the three-position sensing switch. Simply switch to "+" for the maximum bass output. Full bands will appreciate the B2 module's higher output, which provides additional bass for kick drums and bass guitars.

Comments about Bose L1 M1S with B2 Bass Module:

OK, you have likely read several reviews of this product already, so i will try to include a few real-life examples of why the Bose L1 paired with the B2 Sub is a great choice and what to look for in finding the best deal.

First of all, I will agree with most all reviewers that these systems are absolutely outstanding. Super easy to transport and set up and the sound is simply wonderful. With that said... IF YOU ARE A DJ, Listen up... I highly recommend you spend 100 or so and get you an audio interface rather than using the built in sound card on your DJ laptop. Trust me on this... If you want these to sound the "amazing" way they are designed t sound, use an audio interface. The signal will always be clean and the end result is definitely noticeable.

Next... Live sound, DJ or even Karaoke... Unless you know why you want to use the 499 Tone Match processor, then don't buy it... If you already have a mixing console you like, just use it... It will save you the (albeit simple) learning curve and will keep you in your comfort zone with mixing out your vocal effects and individual line levels... If you plan to just run one of these systems (One L1 and one B2 Bass Unit) then you will simply come out of the LEFT Main of you mixer into the L1 Base and that's it... You are all set up... And ONE of these systems seriously will fill a room off 300 people up with really nice sound. But, if you are rich and wanna show off a bit, Adding a second (or even more) of these systems will have your running the second L1 off the right channel of your mixer. After that you can start chaining these things together and blow out a small concert hall.

One thing not mentioned often in these reviews are the travel cases that come with the units... They are really nice custom lined and padded ballistic nylon zippered cases.. Take care of them and they will last you 10 years. SKB makes some pricey hard cases if you plan on throwing them into the bed of a work truck.

Comments about Bose L1 M1S with B2 Bass Module:

I really struggled with the purchase of an all Bose system due to its price and not knowing its capabilities. My only regret is waiting so long before taking the plunge! I play in a full band with a hard playing rock drummer and the Bose L1 can handle everything we throw at it. We are using two L1 model 1S systems and the T1 tone match. Fantastic sound and unmatched ease of set up and tear down make the Bose the perfect choice for working musicians. We have gone from a trailer load of equipment to load in and out to now carrying much lighter equipment that All fits into the back seat of a Chevy truck. The sound is much improved over the conventional PA and even though the volumes are as loud, the sound is clearer and less obtrusive by far. Also the ability to actually hear what the crowd is hearing is wonderful, and with no need for monitors! Great sound with much less knee and back pain.....A WIN WIN all the way around!!!
