Now you and your audience can enjoy the same sterling, high-definition sound!

The L1 Model I Dual System/Dual Bass Package includes two Bose L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speakers, two Bose L Model I Power Stands, and two Bose B1 Bass Modules.

L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speaker

The L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speaker is an integral component of the from Bose L1 Model One PA system. This innovative system projects clean, detailed sound evenly across the stage and throughout an audience of up to several hundred, with little change in tone or volume and eliminates the need for conventional monitors, mixers, and PA speakers. It is the ultimate in fidelity and is extremely lightweight and portable.

The unique Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker comes in two sections and has a line array of 24 small drivers mounted into a vertical speaker enclosure for wide, horizontal sound coverage. This proprietary design helps fill the room with clear sound like no ordinary audio speaker can. In comparison to a conventional speaker, volume and tone diminish very slowly over distance.

The loudspeaker's wedge-shaped dispersion pattern sends little sound to the floors, upper walls and ceilings, minimizing room reverberation and increasing clarity. In contrast to a conventional setup, the Bose L1 system lets you, your fellow musicians and the audience hear the same sound. You don't need any other stage monitors, mixers or PA speakers. The L1 system replaces them all with one sleek, powerful setup.

The L1 Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker features a two-piece, interlocking design for quick and easy transport, setup and breakdown. Each section of loudspeaker is 43 1/2" (1.1 m) high. It includes an interlocking bayonet with center and bottom latches.

L1 Model I Power Stand

As well as being the mechanical support for the Bose L1 Cylidrical Radiator loudspeaker, the Bose L1 Model I Power Stand houses the amplifier and mixer for the 4-channel system L1 system. This innovative system eliminates the need for conventional monitors, mixers, and PA speakers. It is the ultimate in fidelity and is extremely lightweight and portable. Features of the PS1 Power stand include:

Integrated power amplifiers:

Provide clean, precise amplification for L1 Model I loudspeaker and up to two B1 bass modules. Musicians can play soft or loud with confidence the system will accurately amplify their performance.

Four-channel mixer:

Primary mic/line input channels 1 and 2 accept XLR and 1/4" TRS connections; they feature ultra-low noise preamps, two-stage clip lights, trim controls and XLR line-out channels. Secondary input channels 3 and 4 accept 1/4" unbalanced line-level sources like keyboards, sequencers, mixers and MP3 players.

ToneMatch presets:

Proprietary ToneMatch presets optimize Bose L1 system to match intended natural sound of specific instruments and microphones on channels 1 and 2. Select presets independently for these channels using pushbutton controls.

Channel inserts/effects loops:

Connect channels 1 and 2 to external effects and processors via 1/4" TRS line input/output connections. Use a stereo plug to connect the send and return signals with one cord.

Bass module out:

Delivers amplified bass output signal to one or two B1 bass modules. L1 speaker system automatically adjusts equalization appropriately when bass modules are connected.

Bass line out:

Post-DSP bass signal output. Accepts 1/4" TRS phone cable. Use to connect PackLite amplifier with up to two additional bass modules. Can also be used to connect powered subwoofer or additional amplification system.

Digital data out:

Send digital mix of channels 1 and 2 to external recording gear at 48KHz sample rate.

Digital data in:

Update product software and ToneMatch presets via this digital input connector.

R1 remote input:

Seven-pin connection works with R1 remote control( sold separately).

B1 Bass Module

The Bose B1 Bass Module works seamlessly with the L1 Model I PA System to deliver the low-frequency impact you want through 2 high-output, high-excursion 6-1/2" drivers. It produces deep, strong bass for keyboards, kick drum, bass guitar, and other instruments that play in the baritone/bass range. Light and compact, strong bass is yours without the bulk and weight of traditional subwoofers. Connects to the PS1 power stand with a single cable.

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Dual System/Dual Bass Package:

These are great IF your whole band is using them and you are incorporating electronic drums. I have used mine as a vocal monitor but in all honesty if you have acoustic drums nearby or your amp nearby you will not hear it. For solo acts or for groups that use these exclusively they are superb....just don't buy one thinking you can use it for other things. I have used it as my guitar amp (using a Vox Tone Lab) and for that it works well. Portability is great. In summary...do your homework.

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Dual System/Dual Bass Package:

I own 3 of these units, and I have to say that they are the best investment I have ever made. I also have to say that if you have problems with not enough volume to keep up with an acoustic drum kit, you need to read the directions again, because if you run these like they are intended to be, the quality, clarity, and presence are unmatched, by anything in this price range. They have 750 watts of output each!! This concept of amplification replaces backline guitar amps, monitor systems, and main PA, all in one unit, that fact alone makes it worth the investment, and you hear what your audience hears, no more asking," how does it sound out here"?, because it sounds just as good to you as it does to them. The time and labor saved by this amplification concept, makes it a great investment, on average we can carry in all of our equipment, set it up and be ready to play, yes I said ready to play, not sound check, in just under 50 minutes, and tear down and load out in under 40 minutes. Remember, all you get paid for is the setup and teardown time, because if you are a true musician, you would play for free, because you enjoy it. Because of the time and effort the Bose systems save us, we are able to keep our prices reasonable enough for club owners to have us play in their venues, and because of that we play at least one show, and sometimes two shows per week, playing locally, not touring.I also know that because of their clarity, and quality of the sound that these units produce, we keep getting return bookings from the venues we play in, sometimes up to a year in advance. The bose systems have helped us to become the large fish in the small pond, which means we are working when other bands would like to be.

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Dual System/Dual Bass Package:

We use this system(with 4 subs) for concerts for the pop group iCande. We found that if you use it outdoors you need the extra 2 subs. The system works great for about 125' from the stage, front and sides. Very clean sound. No monitors necessary you can stand in front of them with mics with no feedback, with multiple mics open. For 4' stages or higher we put them on the ground level and use monitors on the stage. Read the directionsYou can put all of the system behind the back seat of a Chevy trailblazer. Big sound little system. We routinely only ask for 1 15amp 115VAC for both sticks and subs. Never a problem.

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Dual System/Dual Bass Package:

Yes, they sound amazing. However, there's no way you can use these on stage for monitors, they will never be loud enough! Maybe if you had 10 of these systems on stage, but the only thing that ends up cutting though is an awful treble. Don't waste thousands of dollars, really, just buy some Yamaha monitors or something. Expensive doesn't always mean quality.
