OVERVIEW

Now you and your audience can enjoy the same sterling, high-definition sound!

The L1 Model I Single System/Dual Bass Package includes one Bose L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speakers, one Bose L1 Model I Power Stands, and two Bose B1 Bass Modules.

Hear the same quality sound your audience hears with the award-winning L1 Model I system. Based on over 10 years of groundbreaking Bose research, this all-in-one amplification system features the unique Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker. Its proprietary, vertical design helps fill the room with clear sound like no ordinary speaker can.

Wide, uniform coverage”throughout the room

The innovative Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker has a line array of 24 small drivers mounted into a vertical enclosure for wide, horizontal sound coverage. In comparison to a conventional speaker, volume and tone diminish very slowly over distance.

The loudspeaker's wedge-shaped dispersion pattern sends very little audio up or down, preventing much of the room reverberation that can muddy your sound.
In contrast to a conventional setup, an L1 system lets you, your fellow musicians and the audience hear the same sound. You don't need any other stage monitors, mixers or PA speakers. Your Bose L1 system replaces them all with one sleek, powerful setup.

Built-in amplifiers, mixer and ToneMatch presets

The L1 Model I power stand includes built-in amplifiers to drive the loudspeaker and up to two B1 bass modules. It also has an integrated four-channel mixer with two XLR and two line-level inputs.

Onboard ToneMatch Presets--another Bose exclusive--let you quickly optimize the tone of up to 100 specific instruments and microphones, at the touch of a button. For more inputs and a suite of effects and tone-shaping tools, add the optional T1 ToneMatch audio engine.

L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speaker

The L1 Model I Cylindrical Radiator Speaker is an integral component of the from Bose L1 Model I system. The unique Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker comes in two sections and has a line array of 24 small drivers mounted into a vertical speaker enclosure for wide, horizontal sound coverage. This proprietary design helps fill the room with clear sound like no ordinary speaker can. In comparison to a conventional audio speaker, volume and tone diminish very slowly over distance.

The loudspeaker's wedge-shaped dispersion pattern sends little sound to the floors, upper walls and ceilings, minimizing room reverberation and increasing clarity. In contrast to a conventional setup, the Bose L1 system lets you, your fellow musicians and the audience hear the same sound. You don't need any other stage monitors, mixers or PA speakers. The L1 system replaces them all with one sleek, powerful setup.

The L1 Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker features a two-piece, interlocking design for quick and easy transport, setup and breakdown. Each section of loudspeaker is 43 1/2" (1.1 m) high. It includes an interlocking bayonet with center and bottom latches.

L1 Model I Power Stand

As well as being the mechanical support for the Bose L1 Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker, the Bose L1 Model I Power Stand houses the amplifier and mixer for the 4-channel system L1 system. This innovative system eliminates the need for conventional monitors, mixers, and PA speakers. It is the ultimate in fidelity and is extremely lightweight and portable. Features of the PS1 Power stand include:

Awesome sound

By toonxz

from Canada

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Single System/Dual Bass Package:

This is the finest piece of music equipment I`ve owned. Been playing for 32 years. The sound is so pure, it`s like a CD. I use it for my sons Bass and my acoustic players` guitar. They`ve never sounded better! I`m amazed. You`ll forget about how much money you paid, once you get them set up properly. Musicians Friend has the best price. My guitar player plugged in and we didn`t even need to EQ him. He already sounded like studio quality. I wish I hadn`t blown my money on inferior crap up till now. Buy this once and be done with it. The sound envelops you and carries throughout the room evenly. I have no idea how Bose does it, what they say about the L1`s are true. Hearing is believing. If you are playing in a loud rock band or an over 500 person venue, just line-out to a front of house PA to fill the sound out. If you need more sound for monitor, you should be using in-ear monitors anyway. Suck it up if you don`t like in ear`s. That`s what the pros use.

Bose L1 Model I Single System

By Cary Oh.

from the Ville

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Single System/Dual Bass Package:

Got one. Play small clubs. Love the sound it delivers. Wish it had built in reverb. For the price, seems it should have, but no trouble plugging in your own effects. Works fine for two people. Got it because I'd heard one, and the sound delivered is as advertised. Got it because I'm always messin' with the monitor system and never sure I'm hearing what's getting out. This unit solves that problem. It also creates another one in the process if you play small clubs. To work properly, the column needs to be six feet behind you. It kinda works off to one side, but few stages I play have that much room. Guess I need to practice more and get better gigs at larger rooms.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

By LauberLand Studios

from Orlando, FL

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Single System/Dual Bass Package:

I have been using the Bose PAS L1 Model 1 with 2 B1 subs for years, and I have never had any issues. If set up properly, it surpasses expectations. It has been a real back-savor for me, especially since I have 4 crushed discs in my back. I have used it to run a COMPLETE 4PC BAND with a mixer in smaller clubs. I have used it to DJ weddings. I have used it as a BASS AMP! I have used it as a live amplification system for electronic drums, and at the same time it eliminates the need for vocal monitors because I simply run a feed from the mixer into the second channel. The first time I used this on stage, the compliments about the sound quality of the band started pouring in, and haven't stopped for years! WORTH EVERY PENNY in my opinion!

Lightweight for Rock-n-Roll

Comments about Bose L1 Model 1 Single System/Dual Bass Package:

I have played in rock bands for 35 years. Typically, our indoor venues house an average of 500 patrons. Currently, our rock band is struggling with the lack of punch delivered by the Bose system. We are a three piece rock band. Each player utilizes a Bose L1. The bass player and drummer each have four Bose subs. I play Roland V-Pro TD 20's and struggle to get a solid drum sound. The Bose L1 works well with vocals and guitars...poorly with bass guitar and drums. We have used EAW Speakers to supplement the "punch" required for a good rock sound. The EAW's are powered by Crown Macrotech amplifiers. We have invested quite a bit of money in our Bose systems to use them as monitors. The Bose system has performed well in a guitar soloist/vocal venue. Don't use them for front of house PA for a rock band in a medium sized indoor venue or outdoor venues.
