Superb lightweight and versatile professional sound reinforcement solution.
Bose L1 Model II systems are a high-quality, portable amplification system for musicians, singers, DJs and public speakers. This package also includes two of Bose's critically acclaimed B1 bass modules, along with the amazing T1 ToneMatch Audio Engine. This package is the top of the mountain and the end of the rainbow in terms of the L1 system. The Model II version, the two bass modules and the T1 front end make this the best-sounding and most capable system within the L1 line. These loudspeakers deliver wide horizontal sound coverage and a smooth tonal balance–across the stage and throughout the room. Lightweight and modular, this sleek system fits easily into a car trunk and takes just a few minutes to set up.
Like the original, award-winning Bose L1 system, the Model II sound system is an all-in-one innovation that replaces conventional monitors, mixers and PA speakers. And this professional sound system is packed with proprietary Bose technologies designed to improve your amplified sound.
The system's breakthrough loudspeaker produces wide, uniform sound coverage of nearly 180 degrees—onstage and throughout an audience of up to several hundred—with little dropoff in volume and tone.
The Model II system also features Articulated Array speaker technology for better tonal balance. The loudspeaker's 24 vertically mounted drivers are precisely angled to create clearer highs and more consistent tone in the room. Even people off to the sides of these stage speakers enjoy well-balanced, detailed sound.
This Bose L1 Model II system comes with a B1 bass module to ensure more accurate amplification of lower notes for most voices and instruments—including guitars, keyboards and various horns.
B1 bass modules are considerably lighter and smaller than conventional bass bins required for the same performance. Power up to two bass modules on a single power stand (note, only one B1 module comes with this order).
The L1 Model II power stand weighs only 24 pounds, and its four retractable legs make it very easy to transport and set up. The power stand also has a simplified control section; the single line-level input can be used with instruments, mics, mixers, laptops, MP3 players or DVD systems.
All of the system's components are also built to handle the road. The loudspeaker has a rugged, reinforced grille, and each package includes padded carrying bags for major components.
Spatial Dispersion and Articulated Array speaker technologies in the loudspeaker produce wide, uniform sound coverage. The 24 small drivers are arranged using Articulated Array speaker technology in a slim, vertical enclosure—creating nearly 180 degrees of horizontal coverage and consistent tonal balance. The loudspeaker's two-piece, interlocking design makes for quick and easy setup, breakdown and transport.
Integrated power amplifiers in the power stand provide clean, precise amplification for L1 Model II system with up to two B1 bass modules.
ToneMatch port on power stand for digital audio and power connection to ToneMatch audio engine.
Analog input, trim control and signal/clip LED for line-level analog input via ¼" TRS phone cable. Can be used for instruments or other audio sources like DJ mixers, MP3 players, computers or DVD systems.
Bass module out for amplified bass output signal to one or two B1 bass modules. L1 system automatically adjusts equalization appropriately when bass modules are connected.
Bass line out delivers post-DSP bass signal output. Accepts ¼" TRS phone cable. Use to connect powered subwoofer, additional amplification system or Bose PackLite amplifier with up to two additional bass modules.
Retractable legs provide stability for streamlined L1 Model II power stand and loudspeaker. Four retractable legs fold out of power stand simultaneously for quick setup and compact transport.
B1 Bass Module
The B1 bass module is a compact, lightweight enclosure that is easy to transport, set up and break down. Its small footprint takes up considerably less space than traditional bass cabs required for same performance. Interlocking feet let you securely stack up to four modules together on their sides.
Highly efficient speaker design features two 5.25" (13.3 cm), high-output, high-excursion drivers that produce deep, strong bass from a small enclosure. When connected to power stand, active equalization circuitry automatically adjusts bass signal appropriately.

Comments about Bose L1 Model II System With Dual B1 Bass Module and Tonematch:
I have tried many other systems over the years and after buying the cheap Fender Passport hoping for something suitable for smaller coffee shop or small bar gigs as an acoustic duo I was sorely disappointed in sound quality of other so called portable units.
I bit the bullet and bought an L1 markII with double bass and tonematch used on craiglist and it was the best thing I ever did.
Yes I spent what I feel was way too much but it does EXACTLY what it should where all the others fall short. So it's hard to knock them on cost when Bose has the only product that really delivers.
Sound quality is fantastic. Presets for my Taylor 914CE are built in and it's literally plug & play. Presets for my Audix OM6 mic and SM58's are also available so you have literally nothing to tweak except maybe your taste for reverb etc.
Another huge plus is that I don't need monitors. In small rooms this IS a problem as space is limited. I set the tower just behind me off to one side a bit so I can still reach the Tonematch on the array to mute, adjust volume etc and it's perfect.
With the array there is not much problem with feedback either. Just don't point the mic right at it and crank it. With it off axis from the mic I seldom have any problem.
Get the tonematch mixer, I highly recommend it. Bose is all about engineering and without proper eq'ing this system can sound less than spectacular. I have tried to run into it without the tonematch and while you could make it sound great you would have to do a lot or experimenting.
The Tonematch makes it plug & play.
What it can take... I recently held band auditions and had my mic, acoustic and 2 channels from an electronic drum kit running into the Bose and it did a remarkable job. I was impressed with the drums too, I suppose having the 2 subs helped there. I was able to crank enough volume to satisfy the drummer and it ran through it all effortlessly.
While I wouldn't do this for a show, it proved to me that this system packs some punch as well. They don't state power ratings with at Bose but Fenders 500pro system I used to own would have self destructed trying to do this.
Buy this system with confidence.
Comments about Bose L1 Model II System With Dual B1 Bass Module and Tonematch:
For the advertised use, this system, in my opinion, can't be beat. If you're a wedding DJ, I'd look elsewhere, as the Bass isn't overwhelming, but if you're a small band or an accoustic singer/songwriter type, or a worship leader in a small to medium sized church this is a fantastic system for a great price!
With the ToneMatch there aren't many features that are not at your fingertips. EQ, check. Reverb, check. Compression, check. Tuner, check. Wacky 70's style phaser, check. The only thing I could have asked for is that it would be a full on 5 channel Analog to digital interface for a recording setup, but I can't take points off for a feature that this system isn't supposed to have. It's really fantastic, and everything works amazingly well.
Solid is the word that comes to mind. I've been gigging at least weekly with this setup and it's bombproof. The included cases are a joke for protection, but Bose didn't cut any corners on build quality, so it almost doesn't matter. I've heard reports that the gears that extend the wings can be pretty fragile, but in all my abuse, I can't even tell I've ever used mine. Granted, no one is throwing beer bottles at me. But aside from that kind of scenario, you shouldn't fret the quality question at all.
Compared to the alternative, the value adds of mobility and simplicity more than make up for the difference in price between this system and a similarly powered jbl PA system. More than worth it.
