Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

These are well made and create great bass tone. But the small Bose equipment isn't going to make your Motley Crue tribute band sound awesome. I have used the sub in an acoustic trio of bass, guitar and hand percussion. I have a rowdy electric band as well. The acoustic audiences loved this sub with a Bose Panaray topend. But, my bass amp totally blows the little Bose away for a GNR or Motorhead tune. More would help, but by the time you buy four or five of these, the convenience factor is gone and you have spent enough to buy a great 18" or a pair even. I think these are best for some Classic Rock, Blues, Folk, Acoustic...you get it. Not for DJ looking to thump and not for "chest thumping" bass.

    Better than what people say!

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

I own several pair of MB4s. They have been the subject of a bad rap because basically they are not being used correctly. If you use one and compare it to a 12" or 15" sub it cannot compete. If you use them in a group stacked four high and place them near a corner of the room you will be delightfully surprised at the deep and powerful bass you will get. They are expensive but if you use them correctly they will last you years and will be trouble free. I know you can find other speakers out there in this price range that sound a lot better but if you're loyal to the brand like I am, you spend the money and you'll be happy with your purchase.

    Bose isnt for live sound

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

They call these things a subwoofer? How about a mid range driver. No bass, no long throw. My 10" Peavey's put out more bass. Not worth the money, save it up and get something good.

Do not attempt to use it on outdoor gig !

    By 6-stringer bassist

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

Currently working hard searching for small subs, being tired carrying a biggy. My friends and I visited 2 clubs using these subs, band playing in a festival and Band playing on company picnic at the park. these subs pump decent bass sound in the club, but NOT on outdoor gig.***We decided to stick to our 18's***

Not Peavy 18's but real good

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

Had a sound contractor install 2 of these with the bose mb-12 system. Room is rectangular about 80 by 125 with a 25 ft. ceiling. Lots of echo, but man that bose system works well, for spoken word as well as music. Subs do a great job for what they are. Exceeds all of our expectations. recommended.

    Panary mb4s provide punch.....

    By Kimlang Lewis

    from Alamea, CA

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

I have a pair of mb4s that I purchased with my existing bose 402's. For the sound quality that they provide I am completely satistifed with the sound. It could use a touch up on its ruggedness. It has to be transported with delicacy in mind a lot, Otherwise the casing gets damaged. If you know how to utilize the mb4s then you will get the full experience of great bose quality sound. And if all else fails, who cares; These are bose speakers; They always sound great with precision in mind all the time.

These put out some serious bass

    By Sonny King

    from Cortland NY

Comments about Bose MB4 Modular Bass Module:

Anyone who says these don't pump, has never heard them, or has heard these run by amateurs. I used to carry 2 huge Peavey Concert subs, each with double 18's. I ran 3000 watts into them and they put out big time. The Bose certainly will not put put out like those, but I do a lot of High Schools with only 2 of these and they rock with about 500 watts! And I no longer break my back hauling big subs anymore!
