I was extremely disappointed with the horrible sound when I first plugged them in - too much highs/mids, no bass, and then I realized that my iPhone case prevented them from being completely inserted. Once I was able to plug them in fully, I was impressed with the sound, if you want an overabundance of bass, get some Beats, otherwise, these have plenty of bass. I couldn't use my Beats while watching YouTube vids due to the bass being too boomy, making spoken words hard to understand. These work great and the noise-cancelling feature works fine for my uses (I don't really need it). These were a great deal since they were the Stupid Deal of the Day.

I bought this cheap on a stupid deal paying way less than what they normally sell for. Please don't waste your hard earned $$ on this product. They were merely 'OK' while they worked. I would never consider using them in a performance setting. Noise cancelling was OK, sound was good but now one side does not work. Save your money.

Comments about CAD NB2 Noise-Canceling Earphones:

When I first got these, it was to listen to my i-pod while mowing the lawn. They allowed me to listen to the music and not have the volume cranked up over the sound of the mower. They did not completely mute the external noise, but cut it down (remember! a lawn mower!) a enough so I didn't have to listen to extremely loud music.

Now, my current job has me flying frequently. These things work very well. The air noise while in the plane, especially the smaller, regional jets, is almost cancelled completely and the tone of the music is very good. Also, does an extremely good job cutting out the crying babies!

I've had mine for a couple of years now and they are still working, so the question of durability is put to rest as far as I'm concerned.

Comments about CAD NB2 Noise-Canceling Earphones:

They sound good! Excellent sound reproduction, esp. for the price. I compared them to my daughters new style Apple ear buds and these are clearly supperior. I am picky about my music reproduction and don't usually buy audio equipment without hearing it first. At the price, I took a chance and am completely satisfied. At full retail, I would be disappointed the noise cancellation wasn't more obvious. For the price, any noise cancellation on top of the good sound is a bonus, not a necessity. I don't agree with the other reviews that say they have flimsy construction. For what they are supposed to do, they are fine and designed well for that purpose. Bought a 2nd set to give as a gift to my daughter's BF, who was a music major in college, and he loves them as well. He felt the noise cancelling worked really well.

Comments about CAD NB2 Noise-Canceling Earphones:

There are two ways to use these earphones. When you turn the noise canceling off, you will have a nice bass sound. This is the way I normally would use these. The other way is with the noise canceling on. Yes, it takes some of the bass away, but it takes away a lot of outside ambient noise. If you get them for a decent price, I would recommend them. I think the people that complain about them don't really understand how they work. I got them on the stupid deal of the day, I should have bought two pairs.

Comments about CAD NB2 Noise-Canceling Earphones:

I am glad I only spent the stupid price for these. When switching on the noise cancelling, you lose the bass response to what was already lacking. For the stupid price I guess I may have been expecting too much. These are certainly priced right at the stupid price. I would not choose these if I had to buy on stage or personal listening ear plugs.

Comments about CAD NB2 Noise-Canceling Earphones:

TERRIBLE SOUND QUALITY. I thought maybe it was the battery that came with them, so I used a fresh AAA from my stash. Sound was still awful. Earbuds that come with it aren't fitted well, even if I use the large set. Overall, they just don't produce good sound at all. They remind me of the sound of "on-ear" foam headphones from old cassette walkman's. Bass is non-existant, treble isn't clear. You can name the song you're hearing, but that's about it. I bought a cheap pair of Sony's for half this price at the airport that have FAR superior sound quality. As far as noise cancellation, I couldn't tell a difference between active and passive mode.

I picked these up when musicans friend was doing the stupid deal of the day. It was a great deal for these headphones. Truth be told these would be awful monitor headphones, the noise cancelling just doesn't work. That being said the headphones themselves are alright. Maybe not as good of sound quality as Bose IE headphones or klipsch S4's but solid if you can pick them up for cheap and just want something for your mp3 player.
