Review for 4play 6-channel LED lights

Features:

Very lite to move. Set-up is a snap. Able to use truss or tri pod stand. But to truss mount you need to order 2 clamps as they do not come with it.

Comes with carring case...very nice.

Quality:

I've used these at a few gigs now and am very happy with them.

LED's are very bright and cut through the other can lights I use...par38 and par56 of which I use 4 of each with the 4-play mounted on top of the truss. As a mobile Dj these add a great effect to the show with all kinds of patterns and movement. If you add a little fog you can can see the beams of light from the side for even more effect. Aim at floor, walls or ceiling.

Value:

A great buy for the money.....LED's last 10,000 hours.

Overall:

I would buy these lights again. Set-up takes about 5min. Just tighten clams, plug in, and set mic vol. control knob. I use the auto mode. But can be ran from light bourd through DMX control as master or slave.

The only 2 things I didn't like are 1. the carring case will not zip all the way closed if you install 2 clamps for truss mount. But with 2 zippers you can close the case enough to still use.

2. the clams I bought were from the some company but I had to drill out the part of the clamp where the bolt head is inside the clamp. Bolts that come with clap are too short and have a smaller head on them then the bolts that come with the LED. It's a one time fix but you should set some time a side before your show to do this. Or use a tri-pod type of stand....no tools needed.

Features:

for the price, the features of this light is remarkable. I use a DMX controller along with (3) of these light on a normal size bar stage along with a mini 4 bar and a stage 2 lighting system. It all fits great in all of the places we play. It sets up in less than 45 min. and adds so much to our show the DMX feature on the 4 play makes the selection of colors and pattern so easy a 5 yr old could run it. Great job on design and features.

Quality:

Great quality I love the cases that come with the lights

Value:

Best investment I ever made in the band was to add a good light show. It instantly earned us another $100 a night wont take long to pay for themselves at this rate.

Overall:

To all you band members out there thinking about making an investment in a light show I say do it.

It was the best money I ever spent.

We just received this last night and immediately threw it on our truss. WOW, what a killer light. The previous posters are correct, two of these would be killer. As it is, I am on the phone with M.F right now ordering a second. Sound activation is spot on. I would suggest checking Amazon.com to match the price and get it for 50.00 less. Buy this, you won't be disappointed. Check out the videos on Youtube to see it in action.

We really do enjoy the product in our small club.  The set up is easy and running two of them added a lot to our dance floor and stage.  The only problem we had with the product is that with a smoke machine a haze built up inside the lense which is not removable for cleaning.  Other than that small problem everything is great.

We ordered this light to test on our band's stage lighting truss and it stole the show. The sound sensitivity is controllable enough that we can get just the right touch to follow bass lines - and the programming built into the unit does a great job of sensing crescendo and decrescendo in the music and adjusting accordingly. We've just started working with a pro-level DMX controller to program color and pattern changes and that's turning out to be pretty complicated for a guitar player and bass player, so some background in DMX and general lighting helps if you really want to get into what this system can do. The unit ships with a gig bag but you are going to want to be careful - its a soft bag with padding. There is a hole through the center which allows the unit to be mounted under a T bar in the middle of a stand if you want. For lighting the stage for a band, one of these is plenty, even though our initial reaction was "holy crap, look at that! let's go order another one!"
