I bought two of these, and the first night we used them, our guitar player said "Wow- These really make you feel like a rock star!" I tried four Chauvet Omegas first, and was disapointed with their options and performance, even though they were built very well, so I sent those back and ordered (2) Intimidators. I bought the Intimidator because it had 5 channels, and seperate gobo and color wheels. Honestly, I just hook up a dual foot switch and run them in either fast or slow sound activated mode. We tried controlling them via our DMX light board (aiming and panning and changing the colors and gobos) but they ran so well in sound activated mode, that we don't run them via controller. Our sound activated show looks far better than most guys around here who actually program theirs! The colors are rich, the optics great, and they are constructed very well of metal. I wish I could afford two more! The only compalint I have is that I broke one of the mirrors after the second show. Good thing is, enough mirror remained intact to where the light still reflected unaffected. It was probably our own fault- a roadie dropping it or getting rattled around in the van, so I really shouldn't complain. good thing is, replacement mirrors are available from Chauvet and can easily be replaced.
