Works great - easy to set up. We use it just on the sound setting. The only complaint is that the light keeps on flashing when there is no sound but I havent messed around with the settings much. I just bought and plugged it in and set it to the sound setting and have used it 3 times now with no issues.

So MF really came through in replacing the factory lemon.

After careful inspection, this light seems to be in good working order.
I haven't experienced any drop outs in the DMX control, the mic knob in the back was nice and tight, no burned out LEDs.

I'm running Ableton in conjunction with DMXIS to control lighting for a live set. The Colorstrip really holds up to all the trials I have put to it so far.

The room where I have been programming this show is a 12'x 30' rectangle. The color wash fills all areas of this space, which was impressive and bright.
I am pleased to know that the LEDs should last a very long time meaning the matainance cost will be low as well as low power consumption.

This weekend will be my first time on stage with this fixture, I have confidence it will perform as well as I hope. It's a big stage, I'm curious how much throw this will actually have in a live setting.

It is a well made fixture. Moderate care in transport is recommended with all lighting. This really is a good light and I am very pleased.
Don't pass this up if your considering this as a possible buy.

Despite getting a factory lemon, this was my first experience with a DMX LED Light. The colors are bright, and clean. Easy to to program, although it did drop out of System every time it was shut down. I hope this is simply a defective product. This would be a horrible issue if it were a permanent install. Once I get my replacement, I will repost, and give the rest of the story.
I called MF, explained the situation. At first, I didn't think they were going to replace the product, but they did concede without too much trouble. They even agreed to ship another out as soon as they had the tracking number of the one I had to return. Well done, great service. This is how one keeps customers. The rep, Chris, was a cool cat, and very helpful. Give that dude a raise.
I understand manufacturing, and regardless of how careful quality control might be, sometimes a bad product gets through.
The overall outside construction is a light gauge steel, but engineered well. So far, I am holding the internal manufacturing suspect, until I receive my replacement and do a re-evaluation. I would make a great product review specialist when it comes to lighting. I have spent many years as an electrician and have seen all kinds of expensive lights that were just total junk. The design is structurally strong for it's purpose where weight is a consideration. It is also supplied with two bracket options and aircraft cable with hooks in case the clamps were to ever fail, this being for permanent installs. It also shipped with stickers.
If it weren't for the two LEDS that quit working almost right away, and the very, very loose mic sensitivity knob, the system drop for DMX, it would easily score a 5. Stay tuned, I should have the replacement very soon.

They worked perfect right out of the box. the small foot print and the ability to use on the floor, pole mount or hang really makes them more usable than other lights I have. They can be as simple as just adding light to see the band to giving a feel to the song playing. Many scenes and hookup to my other colorstrip was easy.

I'll be using this for the first time this weekend. It seems well built, but still needs care in transportation.
Bought it as a re-stock, so the ding doesn't look to interfere with it's operation or aesthetics. The lower price is what made we decide to purchase it.

Can't give them a ten yet, lets see how they do in the long run....
Sure beats dragging around (8) Par 64's. These lights only weigh 5 lbs..... and do the job better than the cans. I have switched to all LED lighting. No heat on the guys in the band....
Haven't been using these long but for only $60 they are protected for three years against wear and tear or any other crap that might happen during transportation or set up and use....
Great price too !!!!

I purchased four of these lights a couple years ago to enhance my stage productions. They are light weight and bright! Running them on a DMX controller they add crisp clear colors to the stage. I just recently purchased four more. I recommend thes lights to everyone. You can't beat them!

I've had this product for 3 yrs. now. It exceeds what I thought . As others have noted, great lighting.
It is light and pretty sturdy. I made a floor mount for it, when no overhead trusses are available. The one down side is setting the light. If you want to set a particular pattern, you have to go through the whole 23 settings. Yes, I plan on buying another one. This drummer likes to be seen and the folks that come to see the band preform, have commented on the same. I would recommend that people who are looking at lighting , go straight to the LED's. They are quickly replacing the regular lights , and they are never hot. The power consumption is much lower, so you don't have the blown fuse thing

We bought this light about a year ago for our acoustic duo. We put it on a single light stand between us and hang it over our banner. We use the fade mode, where is slowly fades from one color to the next. We have gotten so many complements on the light, and people think we spent way more on it then we did. It is easy to use, and it is as light as a feather. Sets up in about 1 minute. We are thinking of buying 2 of the smaller versions to light up in front of us. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!
