Great features like RGB, color macros, with or without strobe, and sound activated. Very flexible and robust when used with a DMX controller. I want to try the Chauvet slimpar next.
I bought one of these lights to tryout. I wasn't expecting much, but this LED light far exceeded my expectations. I run it on a DMX controller, but I also have tried it on music activated. The LEDs are very bright, generally run it at 25 to 50% of it brightness. I am going to get another one, thought initially I would need four but was wrong.
I have seen other reviews about it getting damaged by normal handling (the typical fast setup and teardowns for a gig). I personally do all the setups and teardowns and do take that into consideration. I have been using this light for over 2 months (one or two gigs a weekend) so far no problems.
Excellent value for the price.

We bought a pair of Chauvet LEDsplash 200B lights to add to our stage show; admittedly they look great and work well...until they break. The front panel with all the LEDs is in fact a lightweight printed circuit board with no protection and very little support. The least impact or pressure is liable to crack the board, rendering some, if not all, of the LEDs inoperative. A simple lens and/or an underlying support structure of some sort would prevent this in most cases.

Nice lights

By Icarus

from Seattle

Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

Definitely not the most rugged fixtures out there - I own these as part of a touring lightshow and it's a bit nervewracking. But they work great with bright, brilliant colors. BTW these are best used for slower fades as there is a slight delay on fadeout (this is normally a nice effect but renders them unable to do true strobing)

Junk, Nothing but trouble

By Bassman26

Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

These were installed in a club that my band plays at. Since day ONE they've had issues. So many issues Chauvet actually got tired of them complaining and sent the LED Rain64 to replace them. If one LED goes out you lose an entire row if not more. I've tried and tried but its just to much of a hassle to keep fixing. There are 7 versions of these and I heard theres going to be an 8th.. Good luck to whoever has these and Chauvet.. your gonna need it!!

I Hope In Vain

Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

Well I own these lights as well as the Technostrobe RGB. We have continual problems with these. I will be sending the second batch back for repair shortly. In the two lights we use up front the exact same rows of LEDs have died. I am a snob when it comes to caring for my gear, and these lights are babied. Very frustrating! The first batch the dip switches did not work, this batch it is the LEDs going out. Chauvet should take a trip over to China and look into some quality control.

    Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

Got this on the "stupid deal of the day" for half off, thinking would work well with a couple off my Bose Pole, but will not run without a dmx controller. The description was vague on this issue and only seems to imply that it is "sound activated," but it is NOT as a stand-alone unit. I was not pleased that my shipping was not covered on the return, even though the description is cleary misleading.

    Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

Better than some others. Easy to control and super quiet. When the board is turned off they show red so we have to have a switch to power them down . Wish the board would do that. Low profile and quiet so they work for church :)

This light has worked very well for us. Very flexible and very bright. Great product for the price, and we will be buying more. We constructed 8' coroplast towers with one of these lights in the bottom of each, and even a single unit lights up an entire tower very well. Great stage applications.

      Comments about Chauvet LEDSplash 200B:

This is a great light for Dj or small bands that want to add some good color. Not a true professional fixture but it works good for small applications. Would recommend to any small band and Dj.
