I didn't quite get the room coverage I wanted with this set of units. The chase patterns are great, and it looks really good on my truss package, but I think it needs more.
Bought these lights a few years back and they have been sparingly used since. Good in a small venue but lost in larger clubs/hotels we have been playing in. Replacement bulbs are hard to come by but overall the lights are good enough and not expensive.
I recently purchased the Tracer Light Set for use in my local band. The "free clear lenses" advertised in the Chauvet & M.F. ad are yet to be found. The owner's manual says nothing about them and the M.F. folks didn't know anything about them either. After waiting 2 weeks for a return call from Chauvet (I left a DETAILED message!), I called them again and had to pry the information from the guy. I haven't tried it yet, but apparently you have to take each of the 4 units appart, remove the C-Clip from inside the colored lens and "pop it off". Since I haven't tried it yet, I don't even know if this will work. Either way, normally opening the unit would VOID the warranty! The other thing I noticed the mounting bracket on the individual units are NOT placed on the center of gravity in the front to back plane. The location of the bracket makes the units very front-heavy and thus difficult to aim towards some positions. I will likely fabricate a mounting adapter to fix the problem.Otherwise the product worked as advertised.
