Comments about Chauvet LED PAR 64 Tri LED Par Can:
This light is more compact than previous models allowing for more room on shorter ceilings and providing high output from a fixture in this class. Easy set up and removal makes our light man want more. With low power consumption and being able to daisy chain these units and the low price make it one of the most versitile lights on the market today. When you want a wash color, be it red, green or blue or all of the variants in between this light will do it all. I highly recommend the purchase of this light.
This fixture is lightweight, (smaller than previous versions) it has a very nice double yoke for hanging or use on a floor with a single knob on one side for locking it into position very easily. A digital DMX control panel with dmx in and out are on the back with an external power plug provide ease of programming either 3 or 7 channels and daisy chaining more lights without the extra power cords.
Durability, design and a gel frame and holder on the front of the fixture makes it look great. I am using clear gels on my fixtures that also protect the led's. The led's are extremely bright and with tri color mixing and dimming are very smooth with an older dmx controller. Less heat, less power and equivalent lighting as a traditional par 64 make this light an excellent choice if power consumption is an issue. We are using these lights in clubs and private functions and if you want them to keep looking good and working well a little TLC and protection while moving them is going to be required.
In the class of 3 watts x 18 tri color this is probably the least expensive of all the lights out there and it performs very well after 6 months of use. We have two of these and hope to replace all of our traditional pars with these on the front, side and rear lighting in the near future.
