The Chauvet LEDsplash is a 6-channel, linkable DMX-512 can fixture that is fitted with 199 ultrabright red, green and blue LEDs. The diodes are distributed in seven individually controlled, concentric circles and they can produce a wide spectrum of colors via RGB mixing. The LEDsplash 200B can operate in standalone, master/slave and via DMX-512 control using 6 DMX channels.

I bought one of these lights to tryout. I wasn't expecting much, but this LED light far exceeded my expectations. I run it on a DMX controller, but I also have tried it on music activated. The LEDs are very bright, generally run it at 25 to 50% of it brightness. I am going to get another one, thought initially I would need four but was wrong.
I have seen other reviews about it getting damaged by normal handling (the typical fast setup and teardowns for a gig). I personally do all the setups and teardowns and do take that into consideration. I have been using this light for over 2 months (one or two gigs a weekend) so far no problems.
Excellent value for the price.

We bought a pair of Chauvet LEDsplash 200B lights to add to our stage show; admittedly they look great and work well...until they break. The front panel with all the LEDs is in fact a lightweight printed circuit board with no protection and very little support. The least impact or pressure is liable to crack the board, rendering some, if not all, of the LEDs inoperative. A simple lens and/or an underlying support structure of some sort would prevent this in most cases.

I bought this on SDOTD on impulse because the price was great, and I thought it might make a nice addition to my backyard lighting for pool parties, etc. It has worked out very well. It is very bright, and easy to synch to music with the music/auto switch. I have also used it indoors with good effect. All lights are inherently fragile, and this one requires no more care than one should ordinarily use when transporting.

Got this on the "stupid deal of the day" for half off, thinking would work well with a couple off my Bose Pole, but will not run without a dmx controller. The description was vague on this issue and only seems to imply that it is "sound activated," but it is NOT as a stand-alone unit. I was not pleased that my shipping was not covered on the return, even though the description is cleary misleading.

Did not work out of the box, had to tighten fuse, then OK. The unit it brighter than I thought it would be. Can easily replace the line of 4 cans I have, but does produce a different light distribution as you can get from the 4 cans (of course). Much easier to transport.Unit easily syncs to music and does produce an energetic light pattern. I should of bought another one while it was part of the stupid deal of the day, I'm not sure it is worth [$] at normal retail.

The only thing I might add to the previous excellent reviews would be a clarification concerning exactly what this product is/does.
It's a color chsnging spot light...any photos showing laserlike "patterns" are incorrect, as far as I can tell.
That being said, it works great!

Caught these as the Stupid Deal and ordered a couple. VERY Bright for LED lighting. They cover a nice area and the variety of light colors in the automatic or music mode is a sweet extra. These worked great as a side fill and the programming in them allowed me to set them to change with the music. It actually made for an interest change in colors. You can also hook these together, set one to change with the music and it will control the other so that they work in unison. Nice little extra. The LED's don't have anything protecting them so we'll see how they hold up BUT they are nice a light. Easily mountable (wish they included the clamp). Easy to hook up and they look great. Not much to complain about here. Just like all your other gear TAKE CARE WHEN TRANSPORTING! (a rookie mistake in my opinion)

We use it constantly on as a general light for the band and it provides a surprising amount for our 4 piece. I agree with other reviews regarding covering the LEDs for longevity, would recommend caution with transport.
