Comments about Chauvet Mini 4BAR 2.0:

Just used this the first time for a bar gig, worked great. One extra thing I did: cut wax paper and scotch taped it over the lamps, gives a softer glow and wider dispersion to fill the stage which is more of the effect we were looking for. I wish you could order these with diffusers. Left it on the slow change auto program all night and worked well. very easy to transport, setup an breakdown. Considering buying a second for the other side, but we didn't really need it.

Comments about Chauvet Mini 4BAR 2.0:

This is my second Mini 4Bar 2.0.Only ordered one in Jan 2014 as I was skeptical of quality and performance. After using the first unit for a few months I had to have a second unit. Easy to set up and works great as Master/Slave combination. Simple to program and does not need reprogramming after each use. You can't go wrong with this light product. The selective light shows are perfect. This system is well worth the money.

Comments about Chauvet Mini 4BAR 2.0:

I purchased 2 sets of these lights to use with my acoustic trio. We play mostly on patios and in upscale restaurants in very tight locations. These lights provide way more than enough illumination for us. One tree is ample, but I preferred the effect of two. At this price, I could afford two sets.

I run them in the master/slave configuration and control them with the footswitch while playing. I love having the ability to switch between solid wash colors fixed, solid washes that fade, and sound active modes. The latter is awesome on more upbeat dance numbers. Other modes would require a DMX controller which I currently do not have. I have mine set with the pods on the slave fixture flipped over and the fixture facing backward so that they two together act as mirror images of each other...Very Cool!

The only thing I could say negative about them is the build quality. They do come from P.R.China and one of the pods on one fixture came out of the box with a bad connection. Thankfully, I was able to disassemble the fixture to gain access to a pin that was recessed in the plug. It was an easy 5-minute fix, but I shouldn't have to do that on a new product. The stands could also be a little taller, but they are still OK. Oh, you'll also need to purchase a black ext. cord as the the supplied cord is only about 4 ft. long. Supplied instructions are not helpful if you are new to DMX. I watched YouTube reviews and still had to call Chauvet tech support. They were very helpful. It really isn't hard once you figure it out.

These are a recent purchase, so I have no input as to their durability. I treat them with great care and expect that they will last just fine as long as I don't let them get abused. Reaction by bandmates, venue owners, and customers has been nothing but positive. These have been a great addition to our act, and I expect they will pay for themselves very quickly.

Overall, I would purchase them again and DO recommend them.
