Comments about Chauvet Obey 3 3-Channel Lighting Controller:

Yea great value for the price. If you are looking for simple control of lights, this is for you. If you are wanting more complex controls like scenes etc. better spend more money. Doesn't take much space in your car or your soundman's work area.

Comments about Chauvet Obey 3 3-Channel Lighting Controller:

While not programmable, this little controller is very intuitive and it has many usable features for a dj or musician. I found it very easy to switch preset colors between chord changes. You can set the controller so that each color has smooth fade rather than a fast change. But you can set it to chase while the band is taking a break, and you can even ride the faders for some cool effects if you are bored during the break. It fits on a music stand nicely next to an iPad or sheet music.

We've paid three times to return defective units and have nothing to show for it except three shipping bills.

            Obey 4 is better

Comments about Chauvet Obey 3 3-Channel Lighting Controller:

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $30 and get the Obey 4 instead. The sound active mode blinks the light on and off rather than jump from color to color. I don't know why Chauvet programmed it that way. If you want something VERY simple just to do solid colors get this one, if you need a bit more out of it, spend the extra $30 and get the Obey 4.

Exactly what its sold as: A BASIC BASIC CONTROLLER

            By R Mitzel

            from North Dakota

Comments about Chauvet Obey 3 3-Channel Lighting Controller:

I ordered this controller as a simple control for the uplights (mega bar 50's, and par 64 led's) that I use in my business. I wanted something quick and easy to set a color if I had a simple single color setup or had to flip to sound active later in the night. Well the controller is exactly what they say, SIMPLE BASIC and no bells and whistles. For what i was looking for i guess i'd have to say it will do those things. I did have my hopes the chases and sound active mode would play with the individual lights a little bit, but they all just flash and change colors the same, all the lights are controlled as one. I was a bit dissapointed in that, being all the lights have the same dmx address. Was it worth the price I guess for a basic pretty easy to figure out control, but wouldn't pay much mor for it. All and all it will suit some of my needs but will be opting for a new full function controller. If you have plans for more than just RGB color mixing, save the $50 and look for a true contoller. For basic control I guess it fits the bill.
