Ultralow-latency drivers and uncompromising audio quality make Luna II the ideal I/O card for all native software applications. Additionally it boasts unique DSP features: on-board live mixing and effects processing, surround sound and compatibility to the SCOPE plug-in library. Luna II has been designed to become the last audio card you'll ever need.
Actually, Luna II is 2 audio cards in one. Featuring the most complete and up-to-date set of ultralow-latency drivers available, combined with uncompromising 24-bit / 96 kHz quality I/Os, Luna II is the ideal cutting-edge adapter for all native software applications. Its high reliability and sensational price make Luna II possibly the most desirable audio card for computers running Cubase VST, Logic, Nuendo, GigaStudio and all other popular audio software.
But that's not all. Luna II is also the only I/O card in a wide price range that provides you with all the important benefits of a solid DSP architecture! Luna's unique latency-free routing capabilities and the on-board "live" digital mixer (with advanced surround capabilities and effects) make Luna a valuable enhancement for every audio computer. Luna II is even compatible to the huge DSP plug-in library of the SCOPE Fusion Platform.
ULLI and the high-speed drivers
Luna II is equipped with CreamWare's Ultra Low Latency Interface (ULLI). Thanks to this technology, audio driver latencies can be adjusted down to as low as 1 ms (!). Drivers simply don't come any faster. In addition to hardware-based ASIO support, ULLI features a complete set of lightning-fast drivers. Its powerful driver management system makes Luna II ideal for use with any sequencer / recording program and with all "native" signal processing, synthesis and sampling software packages.
If you need more than Luna's stereo analog and S/PDIF inputs and outputs - no problem! For more analog connectivity, the compact but powerful Luna 2496 I/O box can be added. And in its EX version, Luna II is available with a 16-channel ADAT interface. Or you can add a second Luna card to double your I/Os and horsepower. Luna II can grow with your needs like no other system. But even a single-Luna system can manage 36 inputs and outputs (72 channels) simultaneously. To achieve this high level of performance and sonic quality, Luna II boasts 3 powerful SHARC DSPs. Where many others compromise, we use DSPs - because in the end, your production simply sounds better.
Mixing, effects and surround
Luna II can also serve as a mixer - one which lets you integrate your external equipment into the mix with zero latency! Thanks to its on-board DSPs, Luna II can process audio in true realtime ("live"). This makes it child's play to mix down signals from an HDR program along with the output from a software synthesizer and the signals of your external gear. You can even process all of this via your outboard effects rack in realtime! So you can continue to use your beloved hardware reverb processor, for example - directly within your software production. No other I/O card lets you do that.
Luna also includes a collection of high-quality DSP effects. The highlight among them is without a doubt the outstanding MasterVerb reverb. In terms of sound quality, the MasterVerb need not shrink from comparison with even the most expensive hardware reverberation processors. Also on hand: an assortment of dynamics processors and modulation effects, as well as EQ, delays and filters. All of these effects are computed live by the Luna card's 3 SHARC DSPs, so that they place no demand upon the computing power of your CPU. A special 5.1 surround mixer makes Luna the top choice among I/O cards for multimedia and film composers.

A world of DSP plug-ins
Luna II is open to the huge plug-in library available for the SCOPE Fusion Platform. There are well over 100 of them available today - effects, synthesizers, samplers and more. Dozens of them can even be downloaded for free from the Internet. And nearly every day there are more. With Luna II, we've made the entry into a new world of exciting audio software affordable.
Live Bar or XTC Mode?
Luna II works smoothly together with your audio sequencer. You can choose between 2 modes:
Luna II has been outfitted with the newly developed SCOPE Live Bar, from which the complete setup can be controlled. You open the mixer, select effects and also synthesizers and samplers (if available), dial in sounds, and set up signal routings - all from this central control spot. If desired, the Live Bar can be made to overlay your audio sequencer, so that you always have all of your SCOPE studio tools within quick reach.
If you are working with a VST-compatible recording program, you can also operate the Luna DSP effects from directly within that program*. The XTC mode makes this possible. In this mode, you use the Luna studio tools exactly as you use VST plug-ins - but without placing any extra load upon your computer.
