I used to run some fairly conservatively rated, but powerful, home theater amps (speakercraft BB275) in conjunction with a pair of behringer vp2520s for live performances, but this amp really thunders. After having used a few XLS series crowns I really wasn't impressed with crowns when a 75WPC amp could grossly outperform an XLS1500, or even a behringer EP AND EPX4000 using the same configuration. However, this amp has me impressed. It definitely feels like it puts out what it's rated, rather than some large impressive number. Even at the floor shaking levels I run, it hasn't even clipped or shown any hint of distortion beyond what's in the source material. I may buy another to drive my subs and leave the other amps for monitor use.

Died at the first two "testing...1 2 3"....checks.....I looked first at my mixer connections...all ok...then I turned to my new Crown amp.....no "red indicator" so assumed it was ok.....checked eq, limiter, and speaker wires....all were ok.....re powered the system and the amp came up working....during the show left n right sides were intermittently going in and out.....I pulled the Crown out and put my trusted Carvin DCM2000 back in and the show was saved....sending this Crown back!

Crown has been a resident in almost every major studio!! So I was glad to see the X2000 on sale at the time I needed a quiet yet powerful amp. I use it for Yamaha NS-10m Studio monitors, at half throttle it is over the top!! Get yours Today

Comments about Crown X2000 Stereo 2x450W Power Amp:

Bought this to power my Yamaha A15's. Works great. Easy to use. Sound is crystal clear. Toted it to a few gigs with no case and had no problems. Now have it in a rack case. It is very heavy but worth it for the quality sound it pumps out. Would buy another. Have used it at 4-5 gigs now and it performed flawlessly. Even used it at an all day festival from 12noon until 1100pm and it never failed even after 11 straight hours. Love it.

Comments about Crown X2000 Stereo 2x450W Power Amp:

I use this amp as a booster for my in-home entertainment system, running multiple zones both indoor and outdoor. So easy to set up and the power is outstanding. Far more than I "need", but for the price and quality, it's a no brainer. Recommended to me by a sound engineering expert as "the only one to look at" in the price range. Could not be happier.

Comments about Crown X2000 Stereo 2x450W Power Amp:

Very easy to set up, a little on the heavy side, but you know it's professional grade just from the Crown name. Used it for an open house outside event, sounded like there was block party in the neighborhood! Have used it for house parties & only able to turn 1/4 of the way, it's so powerful & loud... definitely getting another one when goes on sale again!

Comments about Crown X2000 Stereo 2x450W Power Amp:

I've had a Crown D-75 since just after they were put on the market all those years ago. It's still working fine. Seeing a 450 watt Crown on sale I decided to upgrade. WOW. My studio just got better. This amp is great. The cooling fans make more hum than the amp does. And the cooling fans are very hard to hear even when standing right next to the amp.

I had an older Peavey PA mixer/amp which was cool, but going out. This one is smaller, far more powerful, and the stereo sound is a huge added bonus.

Comments about Crown X2000 Stereo 2x450W Power Amp:

I've got an x2000 and an x3000 and both are great! ive had them now for about 7 months and never had a problem. Both are powerful enough that ive never hit a clip light while having it pretty freaking loud. They have a very clean sound and very quiet fans. My friend has a Behringer amp and the fans are immensely louder than the Crowns. They produce very little noise, especially on a circuit with a dedicated ground. It would be nice if they had 1/4in ins but not a huge deal.
