This is a really great amp! I use this to power four PR-12's. It's nice to have the built in DSP to dial in some not so good speakers. It's actually pretty easy to get a great sound from this amp if you have a good trained ear. This amp sounds surprisingly warmer than the XTI1000. I would expect this with a little more power though. For my needs, you can't beat this amp. I don't have much money and I use these amps for my personal portable rig. They really perform well and don't die even in 100 degree heat. It sounds really great and outperforms any amp I've heard in this price range. The only complaint I have is that for some reason it's easy to overdrive the input on these amps. I've done it a couple times and it ended up being the input overdriving. It's really no biggie, just something to be aware of. I highly reccommend for a cheap portable amp in this price range.

I have 4 of these that I use currently in my rack setup for my band, 3 for a tri-amp setup for our house mix, one for vocal monitors and we use a big Mackie for instrument monitors. We don't use the DSP because we have an active crossover system for tri-amping. I like the power we get out of them when we are gigging, BUT I hate the hiss we get with no signal input. We recorded with live condenser mics and you could hear the hiss loud and clear between songs.I have owned Macro-Techs in the past and when you turn the board up to full, with all channels unmuted at full volume with no signal present you hear nothing out of the speakers. Not so with these XTi's, I will be replacing our house mix XTi's with Macro-Techs in the very near future, and these will be relegated to monitor duties and maybe to bass amp duties as well. Also it's not the board, we are using a Crest Audio XR24 board, that thing is the quietest board I have used so far and I have had Mackies, Allen Heaths, Soundcraft, this one beats them all. It's the amps that are hissing, not good!

Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
Had this for around 8 years, but mostly used at home. Erratic problems became worse and worse. No one locally can repair, must be sent to Crown - almost as much to fix as to replace. I'm all done with Crown/JBL
Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
Not only is it a great reliable amp, but you have extra features that come built in that keep you from having to buy more stuff to build around it. You have a EQ (scatch off your dbx eq), you have a limiter (scratch that off too)... Im a mobile DJ and when it comes to times where i have to bring my own equipment. My load is lighter than others. I have the XTi 2000 for my mids and highs and a XTi 4000 for my lows both in a road case with my power surge protector and bbe maximizer... In the other case is my VCI 300 and laptop/harddrive and thats all i need.... Do you reasearch and you will see that you cant go wrong with Crown...

Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
this amp is epic it has so many features I own 3 of them two run 4 cerwin vega subs and the other one runs 4 pr 15's and it sounds so amazing and very light weight now the only thing that needs a weight reduction are my folded horn subs but hey at lest they have wheels
Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
I bought 3 of these in 2009 and they have been awesome. I have used the DSP on the front (mainly the Y function), it is a little confusing, but still great when dialed in. Never had a problem with it in 12 months. I would recommend them!
Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
This is an amp made for live sound not studio so it has a hiss but if you want the power it preforms it,s worth it. micro teach amps dont have the hiss but the price is 5 times more and most people can't afford it even though they are the best money can byebut if you want to be better than the rest,XTI are on top.

Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
If you are hoping this amp to perform like the Micro/Macro/K series amps from Crown look elsewhere. This is not the kind of performance we have come to expect from Crown. The price point and light weight are quite attractive, but after using it for 6 months I am ready to buy a real power amp and a hand truck to carry it around.
Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
Purchased two xti 2000's and one 1000. Had great features, lots of power, sounds great, and the config options are more than I'll ever use...BUT - the 2 xti2000s had to go to warranty service twice, once for a broken display and once for a dead channel. xti1000 almost went in, but when I took the stacked load off of it, the display buttons popped out and I could resume use. In a rack case, I recommend an empty 1u between the amps. Warranty service was very good (3 years), and I hope the bugs are gone. Still, an overall great product, as I hope my problems have since been addressed.
Comments about Crown XTI 2000 Power Amp:
This was the first XTi series amp that i bought after being a long time crown supporter, and it blew me away! the power is clean and undistorted, and the features are incredible! i am a mobile rave DJ and i use this amp to power a set of JBL jrx125s and it gets the perfect sound i want to hear. i personally reccoment this amp, you will never regret it! i am after 2 more!
